This was our second time at the Savoy Cabbage. It is still wonderful. We had a great meal here and the wine and service were equally great. This is a must visit for dinner.

We have been many times to the Savoy Cabbage for lunch and dinner and decided to go there for New Year's eve dinner as we have had so many great meals there. The New Year's eve experience certainly did not disappoint! We were greeted with delicious Champagne cocktails and canapes followed by a 7 course feast of innovative fine food.... More

Perhaps it's being a bit hard judging a restaurant solely on its new year's eve fixed-price menu offering, but after booking months in advance, and with the payment for the food also being taken in advance, we wanted to be wowed with exceptional food. We thought that the R2750 for the two of us might include wine as well as... More

It was just ok. We tried the following dishes - sugar cured zebra - three cheese brûlée - beef tartar - lamb rack - eland The food was average, with the game meat well prepared, it didn't taste game at all. Creme brûlée was soft and soggy, not much texture. Beef tartar could have the meat chopper my finely. Lamb... More

We are both vegetarian and the menu offered a good selection of food for us. The meal was excellent , the service first class and the interior of the restaurant quirky and relaxing .

Always enjoy this unfussy venue. Very good wine list to match a varied and often changing menu. Steak tartare amongst the best in town; tomato tart a signature dish; cheese soufflé outstanding. Game dishes a speciality. The chocolate mousse outrageously good.

The food was great, however the service was not great (especially in comparison to the service received elsewhere in Cape Town). Would eat here again, in the hope that we just had a subpar waiter this time.

We went on a Monday and was busy even for a Monday night! There was some traditional dishes and some more adventurous dishes. All in all was a lovely meal. Exceptional service, polite and friendly! We were the first ones there at 7 so was a bit quiet - would maybe eat a little later so that it fills out!

Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
