We celebrated my husbands birthday at this wonderful restaurant. SADLY it's not mentioned in S.A.'s top ten restaurants. The food was excellent, prepared to perfection accompanied by great service. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Occasionally, one comes across a fantastic restaurant and this one is a case in point. We contacted them telephonically and I could hear that they were trying really hard to accommodate our request for a table for two. If we arrived at opening time (18:30)...More

Savoy Cabbage is locztd between the City Bowl and the Bo-kaap. It offers great food and service, a little bit on the expensive side, but has a great atmosphere.

Nice place with good service. The food was nice if not spectacular. My wife had the tomato tart to start with, which she said lacked flavour, my cheese souffle was lovely. Mains she had the fish main course which looked and tasted superb, and was...More

We enjoyed dinner here last year and booked ahead to secure a table again this year. The quality of food and service is outstanding. We took friends with us this year and they were very impressed.

Having been to this restaurant over many years remembering even when it was a little scary to go there, we went because the food, ambiance, service and hospitality was worth it. We went again this evening, Feb 14th and were met with a complete disappointment....More

Our dinner for two at Savoy was unsatisfactory. Two courses took two hours to get out if the kitchen. Food was below average in presentation and flavorless in taste. Our waitress was friendly. Surely this can't be the Savoy that everyone raves about?!More

We stayed at the Cape Heritage Hotel, which has several great restaurants right there in Heritage Square. Our meal at Savoy Cabbage was delicious, with great service. Interesting meats, not found on American menus, included zebra, warthog, and ostrich sausage. I would certainly recommend this...More

Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
