We were so impressed with the food and history here, we came back a second night which is unusual for us. We LOVED the prawns and were particularly thankful that the chef could accommodate and adapt to my dietary restrictions without making a fuss. The...More

We enjoyed our meal here although the restaurant was quite and a bit chilly! The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the wines and menu. The food was very good and we particularly enjoyed the warthog which had had mixed reviews on Tripadvisor. Not our...More

The dinner was excellent. We had veal sweetbreads as mains, in a very creatively prepared manner, and our friends had Kudu with red cabbage, also wonderful. Starters also excellent. Very friendly staff, good value for money. Make a reservation!

Three of us had two entrees and three mains and they were all below average. The lamb was so fatty, prosciutto was tasteless, the wildebeest was tender but no flavour and the beef in the beef salad was so tough. Service was OK. It's a...More

It was very good and the service was wonderful, but I didn't think the food was anything to rave about. We were a party of six so tried a number of different dishes. I had the Three Little Pigs based on reviews here and the...More

We were recommended to visit Savoy Cabbage for the kudo - and we’re happy we did. Booking seems like a good idea, the dialogue was really easy via email. When we got there, a friendly doorkeeper set the mood. All the way a great experience....More

Having been to and really enjoyed Savoy Cabbage on previous SA visits we were rather disappointed this time. Our booking was at 8.45 midweek but the place was nearly empty and soulless. A little background music might have helped. My wife’s beef was rather dry....More

If you are the adventurous type and enjoy zebra, kudu and warthog, this place will suit. They have lots of interesting regular dishes. The three types of pork, “3 little pigs,” is wonderful. The atmosphere is curious but the whole experience is highly recommended. A...More

Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. Free range organic and ethically sourced ingredients. Allergies catered for. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
