Having been to and really enjoyed Savoy Cabbage on previous SA visits we were rather disappointed this time. Our booking was at 8.45 midweek but the place was nearly empty and soulless. A little background music might have helped. My wife’s beef was rather dry....More

Out 10 starters 6 are vegetarian or fish based. There is a poultry, a vegetarian (sometimes 2) a fish (sometimes 2 if the wind is not blowing as bad as it has done for the last month and the boats are out) and the rest...More

If you are the adventurous type and enjoy zebra, kudu and warthog, this place will suit. They have lots of interesting regular dishes. The three types of pork, “3 little pigs,” is wonderful. The atmosphere is curious but the whole experience is highly recommended. A...More

We pretty much dine here on every visit to CT. As I’ve said in the title, a visit to Cape Town wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Savoy Cabbage :)

This was only a few minutes from our hotel and our first meal in a Cape town restaurant, just down a side street off the main road. The service here was the best in a restaurant during our time in Cape Town, it was not...More

If you’re looking for a fine dining experience on a budget, the Savoy Cabbage isn’t a bad option! I had their “three pigs” option for dinner and it was tasty, along with their creme brûlée for dessert.

Since years we are frequently guests in "Savoy Cabbage", the menu is great, the Service very friendly and the whole atmosphere is inviting and inspiring. As the "Signature Dish", the tomato tart is not in offer at the moment - the tomatos are not tasty...More

Innovative and tasty food, great staff and service. Had a wonderful dinner there with my friends. Would highly recommend it. The duck and lamb and the créme brule were our favourites!

Located downtown, this unassuming restaurant is larger than its frontage suggests. Menu changes daily dependant on season/ingredients. Modern/eclectic food with friendly but not overpowering service, portion size just right, ordered us a cab back to our hotel. Don't like the bars at the windows or...More

Description
Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. Free range organic and ethically sourced ingredients. Allergies catered for. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
