Whether you like African food or not this is a Must experience, namely because the overall atmosphere is unique - from the restaurant exquisite and creative decoration to the sequence of plates which take you across the African continent from Nigeria through to Morocco and...Kenya, to mention just a few. Sometime into the meal the staff walks into the dining room singing and dancing for you in a real type of "communal feast", which is the concept behind the menu sellection and what is therewith associated. There is a boutique which displays a number of also unique artifacts.More

I have been to several authentic African restaurants in Cape Town so my expectation was 'not any other one'. which is was not. The building is unique and old creating a special feel. The staff are great. The food is amazing. The difference in dishes...and flavors are awesome and while not all my type of dish, welcome. Truly more food than I could eat. Well done guys.More

Although I have been here several times in the past, this was the first time I have returned in about six years. I wanted to expose two of my students to a range of indigenous African foods so I took them here. They loved the...family style service, the food and the ambience. And at the end of the meal, we had our faces painted and were serenaded by the staff. It was a nice evening.More

I went on the United States Thanksgiving holiday. I chose this place because I wanted to go some place special where I kind of felt like I was home during the holiday. I showed up without a reservation and they said they could accommodate me...so they sat me at the bar for a moment. I guess they were wrong and the place was completely booked but they still accommodated me! I was greatly appreciated. Despite getting served quickly they still cared and didn’t rush me. The place is a set menu of like 15-16 different dishes from all around Africa. Even things I didn’t think I would like I tried and enjoyed things I never thought I would. It was delicious and there was so much food that I couldn’t finish everything. I highly recommend this place!!!!More

Like a previous reviewer we were recommended by the local safety police and loved it. This is a dining experience, effectively set menu (We were so full by the end) plus singing and make up (the girls loved it) The service was charming the food...came effortlessly and plentiful and really tasty. You could be forgiven for thinking this was a themed restaurant but it isnt tacky its fun, good food and well pricedMore

Amazing Experience!! We were recommended to come here by one of the local safety police ...he even walked us to the front door. There is a set menu and it’s served in a sort of tapas style of African food which is delicious. Every now...and then the restaurant staff stop what they are doing and sing, African style, fantastic voices and drums. If you come to Cape Town - come here, you will have a memorable evening.More

There were actually 8 of us for the meal, up from 6 last minute and they were happy to work with us. We were very glad they did as we had a wonderful evening. t's a set price for which they bring you everything on...the menu enough for your party and then if you wish to order any extra you can at additional cost. I suggest if you want a genuine experience this is place and since they bring you something of everything it's worth looking at the menu on the website. The food is unusual and varied. There was nothing I didn't like although somethings floated my boat more than others. Just tuck in - go on it's worth it. After dinner we had some traditional African dancing and singing to round the evening off.More

My wife and I had dinner here last night and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The menu is fixed, but you get a tasty variety of dishes from all over Africa. The calamari was the absolute best that I ever had. The service was top-of-the-line and the...little show after the meal was also quite nice. The price for the meal, drinks, wine, and tip was R1,150More

Our tour guide Sugar helped us have a truly authentic South African food experience by making a reservation at this restaurant. The entire experience from the welcome, the food, the dessert, and the singing and drumming was something we will long remember from our time...in Capetown. Our large group was accommodated comfortably and we ate well. I highly recommend this spot!More

When I was there in October 2018, there was no wifi. The staff might call you a taxi, but obviously not an uber.
