What's not to love about Cooked!!

Amazing location in the heart of the Watershed where you can enjoy scrumptious food and fabulous service whilst watching people pass through the main route through the Watershed. Seems to be popular with both locals and tourists. We were in Capetown for 5 days and had a breakfast, lunch and many coffee and cakes in this wonderful place. I love it. Too many good things on the menu to recommend just one!!!

Found cooked by chance and had a great experience there on their outside patio. Our waitress Trish described the special Kinklip in such a mouthwatering way that she not only convinced the non fish eater, but i am now also on the lookout for more of it. The service was attentive and friendly and the food just stunning. thanks!

Superb, delicious and friendly for any time of day

This is a super place with a really great selection of delicious food. We stayed in Cape Town for two weeks and probably visited about 7 times. It's great for a late breakfast, lunch or coffee any time of day. Linah and Trish looked after us several times and were especially kind to our toddler. It's very convenient for the waterfront, aquarium, shops and other attractions. Every time we went there we saw a range of people really enjoying themselves and enjoying delicious food and drink.

A real gem hidden in a market setting . Stumbled upon this place by accident and been back again and again. Cakes change regularly but all show a real flair and are REAL ..... no premixes, no imitation cream. You have got to try it!

Overpriced and bad service Ordered a toasted cheese sandwich just fill the gap and that’s exactly what I got. A very plain, 2 slices of white bread toasted with cheese. No sides, no garnish, no salad. R75. Absolutely rip off. Very disappointed.

A cracking spot for lunch

Outstanding service and outsanding food. Children well looked after with a huge chicken schnitzel and fantastic milk shakes. Adults washed down a very good chicken souvlaki with a nice glass of white wine. The restaurant was located in the market so a good place to wander around afterwards.

Great quality, absolutely delicious, whether breakfast, lunch, holiday beer or cappuccino; fresh salads, dips, flatbread, meat skewers or cheesecake... Very humorous, friendly boss with an equally friendly team! We were in Cape Town and mostly at Cooked!

Best Breakfast I have had in a long time Salmon Latkes, with a beautiful free range poached egg done to perfection. I could see it was free range by the colour of the yolk no lemon yellow lovely light orange. I will be back.

If your anywhere near the V&A waterfront and are looking for for great wholesome food and drink then do not hesitate to visit Cooked. The menu is varied and all dishes cooked freshly with something to suit everyone. The staff are all attentive and extremely friendly….sure some work in the comedy club as well. A great find and comes highly recommended

I enjoyed the Ultimate Falafel for lunch today. Yet another tasty and fresh meal in South Africa. The khoubiz with falafels, hummus, marinated veggies, pickled red onion and tahini was delicious. I noticed that as soon as a patron leaves, someone cleans the table immediately. This is a spot where you can dine in or get food to go.

We just brought take out back to our room for lunch and we all three give it thumbs up. I had the chicken souvlaki sandwich. It was a generous portion and very tasty indeed. My husband had the falafel, also delicious and enough food for 2. My son had pulled meat sandwich which he said was delicious as well. Very good eats.

This restaurant fully deserves all the positive reviews! Amazing fresh flavours, really traditional food and lovely staff. Titus served us and was really helpful with our lunch menu choices. Portion sizes are very generous - we hope to go back for breakfast before we leave Cape Town!

Cannot get enough of this place! We visited three times while on holiday in Cape Town. Every time it was delicious, fresh, generous portions for a great price. Lots of vegetarian options. Highly recommend! It can get busy (because it's so good) but if you have the time to wait, you are in for a treat!

Fabulous food
