The Carne Collection has expanded to include the trendy Carne on Kloof which is bursting with popularity, as well as Carne Constantia, answering the need for an excellent steak in the Southern Suburb. The menu at both the Kloof and Constantia outlets bring a wide selection of classic Italian fare and introduce new meat alternatives to well-known 95 Keerom favourites such as tongue carpaccio and the signature slow baked lamb ravioli. Traditional dishes such as Bollito Misto, a rare north Italian speciality of mixed boiled meats, underlines the absolute authenticity of the menu. This coupled with Giorgio¿s commitment to using only the finest, freshest ingredients, serving vegetables especially

Grazie Giorgio and amazing staff. We had a great dinner and service. We were 5 so ordered 5 mains which we shared on a platter placed in the centre of the table. The flag ship undoubtedly was the Fiorentina (1.2kg for 2). We added a...mix of sides all delicious. The meat cooked to perfection on the rare side of medium/rare. Great evening before rushing off to make the 9pm curfew. A presto StefanoMore

Great food, service, ambiance and design. However, we found it very disturbing that the main hostess (I think the owner’s wife), didn’t respect any of the Covid 19 regulations in order to contain the spread of the virus. Not only did she not wear a...mask or keep any physical distance, she also hugged, kissed and talked (30 cm) with some of her regular customers. It’s like she isn’t even aware of the Corona virus!! Did she spend the last 6 months on another planet? Unfortunately, it’s because of people with such an attitude that we will soon go back to lockdown level 3 and 4. Luckily the rest of the staff (including the owner) were wearing mask. Anyway, we won’t go back there until the pandemic is totally over.More

My partner and I were looking for a place for dinner. Other restaurants were fully booked and accidentally we went to ask if they have a table without any reservation. We got one and since we set at the table our restaurant attendant, Kevin introduced...himself and we know we are in good hands from the beginning. Kevin’s outstanding personality, great knowledge about each dish on the menu, and his excellent manners made us very comfortable and relaxed. We had starters, main course and we shared the dessert, (my favourite Tiramisu). Each meal was divine and also wine. Very busy restaurant and great service other guys make this restaurant fine dining spot. Compliments to the chef also. It was our last night stay in CPT but we can defo recommend this place for local and tourists. I wish we could come back again soon.More

We happened on this place by chance, as our first preference of restaurant was fully booked. Carne was also fully booked, but managed to fit us in with no fuss. Boy am I glad they did, as the whole experience was great! Kevin, our waiter...was fantastic. He explained the menu to us, offered recommendations and was efficient at ensuring we had everything we needed - all with a smile!! I’d highly recommend Carne if you looking for a comfortable and modern restaurant for a hearty meal.More

The outstanding dish for me was the lamb ravioli - it was excellent. For me skirt steak was too chewy and underdone for medium - however my husband really enjoyed it and our friend loved his sirloin. The smashed potatoes were very yummy. The restaurant...is pretty small so be prepared for it to be noisy when full and the windows closed. We sat outside on the terrace and I had a great view down Kloof Street to the waterfront.More

It is the WORST steak house I have ever been and I have been to many, anything will be obviously way better choice then this and here is why: 1/ Service. Not existed. Waiters hardly speak English. No bread, no forks after food arrived, forgot...our water, no salt or pepper (reminded 5 times), after food arrived NO FORKS! after food was finished - they brought us sauces!!! At the end of the meal waiter asked us why we did not left him tip !!! 2/ No game meat and we came for it. Half of the things advertised on the menu not existed. 3/ Food - below average. if not worse. Meat arrived cold and I am not the first writing this complaint here about it. You can definitely can get a better steak at a street market. 4/ Spent about 120 USD on a meal for 2 people and I feel totally crooked, this restaurant deserves to be bankrupt and closed. 5/ If it was in the US, management would be paying for your dinner for such f. up. I definitely will take it further on all the services possible to put this 'nice' place out of business. Would put zero star, can't, putting 1 - too much for this sham. Avoid if you can, Cape Town has many great restaurants and some worst ones, Carne Kloof is the WORST YOU CAN GET!More
