Dolce Bakery offered a regular coffee and a bagel for 50Rand. The bagel was an everything bagel with pesto, mozzarella cheese and tomato. Delicious! But even better was the large tasty coffee -- the best we have found in Cape Town so far.
The service was swift and charming. These ladies know how to laugh and make you feel at home. (PS we went back a later day and the gents were also great servers.)
The pastries look great, but the bagel was huge, so maybe later.

I live near Dolce, and when it first opened there was a huge sign that said R50 for a pizza, that was, or must have been the cheapest pizza I had or could actually afford to purchase, sad to say, it did not last long, now it's a pleasant, friendly, coffee shop, one of man in Observatory. But if I have coffee in Observatory and can afford a slice of pie, that's where I would go !

The food here is really good! The bagels are warm, soft and delightful! We have ordered from them twice in a row now. The Mediterranean Bagel is great for vegans and the Chicken Bagel is tender, succulent and moreish. I also had their vegan Mushroom Royale on ciabatta with caramelized onions, rocket and hummus spread... So good! Their smoothies are also vegan friendly and come in 5 varieties. The vegan Salted Caramel Tart is delicious! We will definitely be putting this gem on our list of go-to places for decent, well-priced, wholesome food.

A nice spot for some coffee and great cake. Savoury range is not very large though if you want a bit of a meal. Lovely service.

I never knew that a chai latte with an espresso shot is called a "dirty Chai" which a gentleman before me ordered. This bakery offers a variety of pizzas, muffins, croissants and cakes. The barista served with a smile sipping his own coffee. I bought a vegan carrot cake and a latte for R53. The morning special is a coffee and pastry at R30 which is awesome. Plenty of options for vegans. Next time will try the dirty Chai.

A good place to get a breakfast or lunch. Or u just want a coffee. Realy nice coffee and beagels. We stayed at Observertory backpackers nextdoor. And we had every day breakfast here. Realy friendly staff.

Quite simply too many VEGAN options to mention!
I ended up having the Margherita pizza, cashew cheese bagel and then sharing the peanut butter pie and carrot cake - ALL VEGAN!
Dolce Bakery - you guys rock! THANK YOU!
My only complaint - that I couldn't finish anything - portions were too big! ;)

Often at places which offer a gluten-free pizza option, the surcharge for the special base is R25 or more, which makes any pizza pretty expensive. At Dolce it's only R15 extra, and their pizzas are generously sized, delicious and very reasonably priced to begin with. There's also an unusual array of vegetarian and vegan toppings (I had halloumi, pesto, cherry tomatoes and caramelised onion) which made me very happy.

Absolutely charming - and do the best eggless cakes I've ever eaten. Also do pizzas and free chocolate with your coffee. A great touch is the Pay R10 for a gigantic muffin that gets baked and delivered to an orphanage. Wonderful nutritious way to feel good and spread a little joy.

On one of the worst days Cape Town has ever had regarding rain, and I got to see a client at this beautiful quaint bakery! The owner was there making coffees, happy friendly staff, amazing deals and specials that will save your pocket and allow you to use that extra money to visit other places in Cape Town! Great food, great service, its a bakery that you will never want to leave!

What an incredible little cafe/bakery for vegans and non vegans alike. Instead of the usual one or if you're lucky two choices of vegan food, Dolce has an entire vegan pizza menu and they are the most delicious pizzas I have ever tasted. And plenty of super scrumptious vegan cakes and desserts. I will definitely be returning!
