We visited this cafe on a Sunday morning, and enjoyed the atmosphere, coffee and food. It was quiet, so the service was quick, friendly and attentive. The seating is eclectic, with mismatched chairs, sofas and tables. But everything is comfortable, like drinking coffee in your own living room. The cafe also serves as a gallery, with lots to see (and buy). The whole atmosphere is wonderful, with plenty to look at, and many good choices on the menu. Recommended.

This is a must stop and get something place. The decor and design is reflective of the eclectic and cosmopolitan zeitgeist of Cape Town. The coffee is a good quality and good deep house music to compliment the eclectic nature of the place. Yet on this day, it appeared that staff were limited and we had to fight for attention of the only two, albeit friendly, staff on the floor. All things equal, the place remains to be something to check out, have some good coffee, enter a stimulating place to relax.

Had a quick breakfast here on Saturday. Had the eggs Benedict with salmon and carrot and ginger juice. The breakfast was ok, very little salmon. Did not enjoy the juice that much as it tasted weird...not like carrot. Having said that, the place is gorgeous, filled with character and the staff were very friendly. Not bad.

Every time we are in this area we have breakfast here. The staff are great and what’s lovely is even the chefs remember you from twelve months before. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is superb and the surroundings a delight. I cannot sit still here. I just want to take more pictures. You can’t help but enjoy this unique restaurant.

This unique place is the most cosmopolitan artistic place in Cape Town. Beautiful decor in a moody setting that is not seen anywhere else. The breakfast was excellent as ever and we wish the staff and Francois well in the future.

We were delighted to hear that the breakfast is served all day, but then decided wine & lunch at 11:30am is more tempting! Love the decor and art on display. The wrap was fantastic. Friendly & attentive staff.

I stopped here for a coffee after visiting the District Six Museum. The interior is lovely, very chilled. The staff were very friendly and the coffee was great.

The space and interior alone is worth a visit - funky decor and great background music set the scene for a relaxed breakfast. I had a grilled cheese with tomato, egg and onion on a baguette - it.was.divine! My guests had an omelette, and a traditional breakfast which was also fresh, tasty and generous. Accompanied by sourdough toast and good coffees. We could have spent a lot more time there and sampled their cakes and other sweet things - next time!

We came to Haas Coffee based on the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. My cappuccino was beautifully decorated with foam art, and our omelettes were delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and made for a very enjoyable place to spend some time with my adult son.

We stopped by chance attracted by the typical colonial style and were surprised by the quality of the food and of the service! We had a late lunch/brunch with omelette and tapas plate and at the end a good african coffe (they also produce their own). Very nice place!

I live quite close to this venue and have walked past it many times without venturing in sadly. But today was different I and a friend decided to ‘give it a try’ and so glad we did. What a great find! First of all the coffee is absolutely delicious and extremely well priced. Secondly the staff were professional friendly, courteous and efficient and lastly the ambiance very relaxing and comfortable. I would rate this coffee house higher than Truth Coffee shop which is literally across the road and purports to be the worlds best coffee shop .....mmmm We shall be back!

I’ve been at this place a few times and its been a pleasure. The decor and ambiance is good. It has a unique/rustic/artistic atmosphere with deep house music playing and sometimes classic jazz. Its a must for a good coffee and something to eat. You might struggle to find parking in the busy street but its worth a stop!

We wanted a special place to have a great breakfast & to catch up on each others busy lives. I suggested Haas & once again what a excellent decision. The ambiance & interior of this place is absolutely on point, love the art work and art objects displayed. The coffee & food was as usually excellent, well presented & utterly tasteful. If your looking for that special breakfast venue, this is it. To the management & staff thank you once again for a great experience. Kind regards Ferdie Liebenberg
