My girlfriend and I made a reservation and drove out for dinner. We were skeptical of some of the talk about how "dangerous" the townships are. Perhaps that may be the case in general but the small neighborhood in Langa that the restaurant is in...More

The food served at Mzansi is far from being the best in Cape Town! The owners of the place share with the guest their life story which can be tiresome if you expect a regular restaurant environment. I wish only well to the owners of...More

The location took me by surprise to say the least. However, when I walked through the door, I felt has if I was visiting a relative. Nomonde told us to feel as if we were home, and that's exactly how I felt - at home!...More

I would not just show up, this place is in a remote location and always booked out. Right now the restaurant is closed during the winter, not sure when it will open again. Try to contact them directly. Good luck.

Description
Experience the Township of Langa at this traditional African restaurant. We cater to tourist and locals alike wishing to have a positive experience in Cape Town’s oldest township. Our kitchen is run by longtime Langa residents that have worked to put a modern twist on recipes that have been passed down through the generations. As you enjoy your locally sourced meal, a live Marimba band will entertain you with traditional African music (tipping is encouraged). Your support helps us to provide jobs and to empower our community. We kindly ask that you make a reservation/booking in advance for, we cook to order and are not a walk-in restaurant. Open for lunch and dinner, we request that you call 24 hours in advance or early in the morning.

PLEASE NOTE: Our Restaurant will be closed September 19th-October 3rd, 2017 for holiday. We apologize for any inconvenience.
