Tragically I only discovered this place in the last few days of my month in Cape Town. Would have loved to go there more. Some of the best food I've ever put in my mouth. Johnny and Jorge are magicians. Book ahead and as many times as you can.

We had our last meal in Capetown here and were impressed by the variety of dishes on the menu, the quality of the food, and the wine list. And it was one of the more lively restaurants we tried in Capetown.

Open bar type restaurant on popular Kloof Street. Had heard good reviews, so visited a Friday night. Nice Bar area, good service, but little disappointed in the food. We both chose the fish, Tuna was very good, Kingklip very tasty but served with Lentils which were a bit tasteless.

This is without any doubt one of our favorite restaurant in Cape Town. It was recommended to us by the owner of Derwant House Boutique Hotel (a lovely hotel just next door). The main reason why we enjoy Black Sheep so much is the casual atmosphere, beautifully prepared food that is nicely laid out, wonderful desserts and excellent service. We... More

I've only been here once, but I had a very positive experience. Service was good, food was excellent and good selection of drinks. The restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, but it's worth it.

We did enjoy the meal.........the service was good and the atmosphere lively. However, 3 of the 4 in our party became ill with diareaha and vomiting for over 24 hours and were ill for 2 days following. The only thing the tree of us had in common was the ICE in our drinks. One person called the restaurant to give... More

This is a lovely gastro pub with an ever-changing menu. We ate there twice and the food was fresh, appetising and really good value. We really liked the location away from the very commercial waterfront.

Extremely impressed by the quality of the food at Black Sheep! The entire menu looked very attractive and the price is fair (we would have paid at least twice in North America for this quality). Good vegetarian options that are very filling. We also enjoyed the ambiance and the great service. Well done!
