This was our second visit to the Black Sheep. They specialize in farm fresh and concept fresh each day - the menu changing with availability of products. On our recent visit, many of the meals had cilantro as an ingredient. I have a cilantro allergy and after reviewing many of the items on the menu and not finding anything to... More

First night in CT, where to eat? After advising Tripadvisor we went to Black Sheep. It was very busy, but we were welcomed and seated by a friendly waitor. Even though it was lots of people it still had a good vibe, and it wasn't to noicy. We were not disappointed! The food feels creative and modern. And it was... More

We were recommended this place from a friend and were not disappointed! We didn't book a table and didn't have to wait long at all. Food, wine and service were all great! Definitely worth a visit!

Dinner at Black sheep was perfect. We felt welcome as we walk in. Our waiter (Lowee or Loue) has good knowlendge of the menu (& good sense of humor). We went with waiter's suggestion & it was right decision! Every dish we got (2 starters, 3 main & 3 desserts) were exceptional! There was big group dinning upstairs, however it... More

We came in early but still all seats were already booked. We were able to sit at the bar and this was more then OK. The food was so good we kept on ordering to try it all. From the roast aubergine with garlic yoghurt dressing til the smoked chili squid... WOW! When back in CapeTown we will definitely go... More

We went here on our last night in cape town and was fortunately a short walk from our hotel. It was very busy but that only added to its atmosphere. It was a warm night and we sat next to the open window. The food was very very good, I went for two asian inspired dishes, the tuna followed by... More

We decided to have a walk out on our first night in Cape Town having looked Black sheep up back home in the Uk, we got there and the place was buzzing, we asked for a table and where told they were fully booked but if we wanted to have a drink upstairs we could have a seat at the... More

Black Sheep was recommended by our hotel (Derwent House). And we were so glad we ate there. The restaurant seated us even w/o a reservation (maybe - because of hotel?). We had a great meal, with great service and surprisingly reasonable price for 4 people. We shared a bunch of dishes amongst us and liked them all. Pretty good wine... More

Booked in for a midweek dinner. Restaurant full on arrival but seated quickly. Staff friendly and the food was tasty. Amongst our group the lamb papardelle seemed particularly popular.

Friendly staff, terrific food, nice atmosphere. Very full also, but that's not negative. The wine list is excellent. We were very hungry and thought that the portion was not too big, but quality compensates
