Its always a pleasure to be at Mischu coffee shop where I sit and enjoy my favorite coffee sips. Stay for a while to enjoy delicious eggs and Avocado variety open sandwiches, muesli and fresh salads, and fresh pressed juices during the day at Mishu. Truly anytime of the day here, see the staff attentive and the environment comfortable and relaxing.

Nice coffee spot, they brew their own Arabica coffee and serve it in many different coffee choices. Also a nice choice of breakfast meals (Granola, oatmeal and savory specials with egg, Avo bread etc.) or other lunch bites.
Good service, either to eat on-site in the cute cafe or to take-out. Also not too touristy, more locals.

A visit to Mischu’s site reveals a photo of a Labrador on one of the bench seats at the restaurant. Allowing dogs at a restaurant divides the crowd pretty quickly, but encouraging dogs to jump onto the bench seats at table height is simply unhygienic.
I left half way through a coffee - and was not going to order breakfast after the dog on the beach behind me kept wagging its tail all over me. It was also allowed off leash and barked at every person that walked through the door. I shudder to think of the health and hygiene standards being applied (or absent) in the kitchen.
So this is a warning to those who feel the way I do about dogs at restaurants. Give this one a wide berth . Breakfast at Kleinsky’s across the road was amazing afterwards.

We come here on a regular basis. The coffee is always excellent. We have wonderful breakfasts,lunches and healthy smoothies too.
The staff are amazing. We love them all. Always welcoming and upbeat. You leave happier than you arrive. Special shout out to the excellent barista, Musa and Happiness always lives by her name. A pleasure to call this our local coffee shop.

We have been coming here for years. The coffee and the breakfast and lunch menus are excellent. Consistently excellent. Happiness and her brother Musa and the rest of the team treat you like family and he is the best barista.

We rented an AirBnB above this coffee shop, and wouldn't bother with coming to Mischu if not because the landlady has an old-fashioned coffee percolator! You remember those? Not even a Nespresso machine? But that's another review.
So, one morning we came downstairs to have a cup of decent cappuccino. The place was chaotic and full of people from gym/yoga. These patrons are standing around like it is a bar, chatting over you, above you and between you. You guess it. Some people just don't know 'space'. Personal space.
The staff are so busy they couldn't control the queue, which formed like a severed snake. The patrons would proceed to chat and talk over the counter. Thank G the little bit of food - pastries - were behind glass!
The coffee? Well, mediocre. Served in a paper cup.
Croissant? Forget it. It is like bread burnt on the outside.
There is no need to complain because the staff are so overworked that they could not possibly help you anyway.
Oh, I made the mistake of going back 1 week later - long story to do with load-shedding - alone! I found a table outside and thought wonderful : now I don't have to listen to the jabber jabber inside. WRONG! ~I asked to reserve a seat but the waiter said I had to queue to order inside. I was eyeing my seat outside when suddenly the whole table of gym/yoga wannabes decided that the outside table was better. They moved outside, and when I got my coffee, there was no space for me!!!
There is no system and this is just a coffee shop. Imagine if they run a restaurant?

We go here for coffee a lot. Love the coffee and think it is best in town. Even their decaf is excellent! The oat bowl and chia pudding are superb. The staff are amazing and we love Happiness. So aptly named. Only criticism is layout and size of tables when busy. Also unless you know about the quality of food you really would think this is a coffee and maybe a croissant place.

I went to the Bantry Bay location. I ordered a chicken sandwich looking at the photo on the menu board. When it arrived I learned I ordered something else and worried about a good allergy so asked to changed it. Not only was it no problem but they bent over backwards to make sure to explain all the ingredients of my new order to see if I needed anything removed. It was my fault for not explaining my food allergy and they handled it with style.
It was delicious, their coffee is fabulous and the staff so nice. I will be back!

Chaotic place. Lacking staff. Huge lines. Noisy. Worst place to start your day if you do not want to be stressed. Just walk a few steps on the same pathway and have your breakfast at Kleinsky's.
