Worst place that i have ever been! The staff was very rude, and in the end, they tried to force us to pay a huge tip! Avoid this place at any chance!

We can to the tap room to refill the batteries after a run... We had the burger special which happens every Mondays - 65R any burgers and chips... The Taproom cheeseburger was tasty, with proper cheese in it. Too much ketchup for me, but it...was a good dinnerMore

Absolutely awesome vibe. Good welcome and initial service however waiter’s service diminished somewhat during the evening. Excellent array of beer offerings. Burgers were outstanding! Manager good on support but spent a lot of time on her cellphone. Also disappointing to see staff drinking from the...bar (beer taps).More

Vibey spot although the entrance is a bit tricky to find - great assortment of interesting beers form Devil's Peak brewery and friend. Food is simple but fresh and plentiful and reasonable. The staff are friendly and efficient and know their menu and their beer!

Used to be a great place to have a great burger and some good beer. For some reason they've brought in some decidedly second rate comedians who seem to be intent on driving people away. Whilst the food is still good, the service is abysmal...and getting any kind of attention requires a lot of arm waving and begging. Won't be visiting again, sad to see a once vibrant Cape Town local pub regress so badly.More

I love this eating spot. I have been twice before. A burger is not on my list of things to eat BUT they make the most delicious burgers (REAL MEAT) and fries. For craft beer lovers it is popular and it has a great ambiance...- relaxed and cool. While it is frequented by young people, it does not make older people feel out of place.More

Really lively joint with friendly service in a typically Cape Town cool place. Food was tasty, large portions and well priced. Decent selection of beers and ciders. Definitely well worth a visit !

After work drinks on a Friday saw a few colleagues and I swinging past The Tap Room, it was OK not great. The craft beer on the other hand was something to behold and made up for the average experience otherwise.

Burgers were good, quite basic but with half price offer we paid for the whole night, including beers and tip - £16 for two, so basic seemed quite reasonable. Don't know if I am giving the place undue credit because South Africa overall is a...lot cheaper to eat and drink than what I am used to in the UK... Service was quite slow, they were not busy! And the beer tasting thing my husband ordered came with substitutes as they had run out of the advertised one... now it was still enjoyable but I question the organisation/management of a brewery tap house that runs out of its own beer??! Can't organise a p*** up in a brewery?! Anyway, the staff that served us were very friendly and tried to make up for the fact their wifi was down, causing us issues ordering an uber home by calling a cab for us and looking out for its arrival. Overall a good cheap night, but could be incredible with a few minor management adjustments!More

For really good food and cold beer this is a great place. The fish was fresh and very good. The portions is very big. Loved the industrial look and feel of the place. Good and friendly service.

My husband and I went to the Taproom in order to taste Devil’s Peak craft brews. The beer was delicious and there were some unique beers there compared to other locations in Cape Town. Colin was particularly helpful in providing more detailed information on the...brews and answering any of our questions. I would highly recommend this place!More
