We went with the greater family, who could enjoy the interior play area. Service was prompt and a good selection of Pizza options, as that is what we came for. Bases were thin and toppings generous so we had nothing to complain about. The interior...is however quite plain and dank without much atmosphere.More

The base is light and crispy and they are not shy with the cheese. We often get a margarita at R45 as an afternoon school for the drive home. You can see it gobbled as soon it is received. This place opens in the afternoon...and there is a permanent happy hour for guests who love their drinks in the evenings. We have also tried their burgers and pastas. But their pizzas are the best. The owner could try to be more friendly. In all the years I am coming here I have never seen him smile.More

On holiday on cape town we had an unexpected Saturday evening free and couldn't get a booking at our usual Italian restaurant. We tried out Some Oaks....the pizza was good but the seafood pasta was tasteless...our waiter seemed preoccupied. We had to ask to place...an order, ask for parmesan and chilli etc. Just average...and I think with so many other options around their service and good they serve needs to be consistently goodMore

Grabbed a couple of pizzas from here to take away. Pizzas were nice a crispy thin crust types and the toppings were nice although a bit stingy on the cheese. Also, we asked for, and were charged, extra olives but they were nowhere to be...seen. Wasn't worth the hastle of going back to find the missing olives thoughMore

My 12 year says this is the best pizza place and the pizza is light and crispy with enough cheese on it. Well we make use of their evening special which is worth it. I also tried their veg pasta, veg burger and both was...delicious.More

Having booked at "Chuck Yang's" the adjacent restaurant we where amazed to find it closed due to a power failure without the owners having the courtesy to phone & advise us. Consequently we dined here & really quite enjoyed the experience. The place is very...basic but was well occupied, My wife opted for the Hawaiian pizza very tasty with a nicely thin crisp base, and I enjoyed the mafia spaghetti (Large) too large so departed with doggy bags. A new but charming and amusing waitress Analinna ? cheered us up. Corkage was R 20 v reasonable & the bill came to R 214.00 with a 12% tip on that.More

We have frequented this unpretentious little restaurant for years when we lived in South Africa. Returning after some years absence we were apprehensive about it being under new management, but need not have worried… the quality of the pizzas remains exceptionally high (and one of...us is Italian !). Always enjoyable to share the venue with tables full of students, and local couples out for a good meal. Still prone to employ new young waiters, but most of them try hard to be efficient and to please. The manager came to show a trainee how to serve our banana flambe, and the nervous young chap managed to set himself and the table alight…. Very entertaining… he was quite surprised when we left him a tip…. All part of the down to earth, real life vibe of the place.More

Just returned home form Some Oaks - what a relief. All we wanted to do was get out of there. On arrival, just before 6:30 pm, we could see it was busy, so ordered drinks and meal right away. When drinks cames, the craft beer...I ordered did not arrive. The waitress apologised, and then brough the wrong one. She indicated that the one I'd ordered wasn't available, so they simply substituted it for another, without asking me!!! So I asked for another of my choice, A few minutes later, she said that one was also not available. Third time lucky!!! This after the food arrived. Then one of the items we'd been very specific about was not fulfilled. By the end of it all, the best decision of the night was to go home.More
