Had dinner at Bukhara last night with friends a table of five. I was very impressed, the food so delicious and must add that the waitress had very good knowledge of the food, her memory skills was striking when taking the order. we had different...breads which was so so good with curries. I notice that it was only herself and James who was serving plus minus many tables and admired the way they handled the influx of guests I definitely will go back for the food and service was great thanks to vanessa and jamesMore

The food was good. However, if you're not fair skinned you probably won't get good service . We entered from the balcony entrance and our waiter Vanessa told us to walk around and use the entrance situated inside the mall. When we got to the...front, a white couple came on behind us,she literally took the couple and seated them before us. After sitting us down, she came back after 20 minutes to take our order. While waiting, I noticed another couple entering the balcony entrance and they were not stopped (ironically another white couple). Vanessa then continued checking up on all her better looking customers then us I assume and not once came to check up on us. We had to ask another waiter to bring us the bill.More

We are from the UK Indian and surrounded with really good Indian restaurants. Having read some of the negative reviews and the food to be poor and overpriced we were thinking twice to dine here. However we are so glad we did. The food was...really nice and tasty, along with great service. Vanessa our waitress was friendly and attentive. We thought the food was better than the Bombay Brasserie in the Taj which is definitely expensive with tiny portions.More

Had a staff function. one of the ordered was SAAG MEAT (with spinach) - as if bowl of spinach soup with 5 piece of meat in it. not even 100gr of meat. Yet you are charging R200 for it! We have been told that -...this is the traditional meal and it is how it is. none of the colleagues were happy with their food. We are very regret to have lunch there and we won't recommend to anyone.More

Received excellent service from Vanessa @ Bukhara V&A Waterfront. She went out of her way to accommodate our group. The food was delicious as well. We will definitely go back there again.

Went to Bukhara at the V&A for a dinner and absolutely enjoyed it. We experienced great service, tasty food and excellent views of the waterfront. We ordered Laal Maas (I guess, the only restaurant that serves the dish in South Africa), Chicken Tikka, Chicken Biriyani...and an Indian Bread Pudding (Shahi tukda). All the dishes were great and keep up the good work Bukhara!!!More

Waited an hour for starter to arrive. Only 1 out of the 3 starter options were available. The potato samosas had clearly been cooked from frozen as the peas inside were still cold. Understaffed on the floor as well as in the kitchen. I think...the end could be near judging by how few tables there were and the quality of the food and service. Feel really sorry for them. Used to be a great experience.More

Our first visit to Bukhara and wont be our last. Great service from very helpful waiter. All 4 main meals were wonderful especially the lamb Bhunna Gosht (pot roasted thick curry). Generous portions of very tender lamb with such an amazing taste. (I am looking...forward to my leftovers) Not many patrons but then so few people at the V&A anyway. We will be back even though it is on the pricey sideMore

this used to be a highlight of a dinner! now there is no atmosphere, no attention to detail, austere, shocking service, and food a massive let down...and all with a very heavy price tag. will definitely not be returning

We ordered three main meals. The chicken tikka was excellent, the palak paneer average & tikka lamb chops very dry. The restaurant was empty; however, the service was poor. Besides, our background music was a waiter who spoke loudly about her personal life-on and on...she went. Perhaps the restaurant lack management? Perhaps they have to retrain the chef. Perhaps playing background music will be great. Perhaps the owner require to invest time in her/his restaurant?More
