Heralded as one of the top restaurants in Cape Town. It left us wanting. Food sizes were very small - too small to share and priced at other restaurants main courses. While some dishes were acceptable, the fillet however, was of poor quality and underdone....Contactless menus only after you registered on the website, with giving away your contact details and subscribing to mailings. The sommelier recommended a good white wine and staff polite and present when required. The restaurant was filled with stuffy air and only marginally improved when we asked to have the windows opened to allow some fresh air in to the venue. The ambiance was stale; seating uncomfortable, and the overall impression from entering the lift, to entering the restaurant, to seating arrangement was that the venue was grubby and unkept. Booking was done through dine plan, in which the restaurant demanded an advance payment of 350 Rand per person - to secure booking. Upon receiving the bill, the restaurant automatically added a 12% gratuity for two diners. Very disappointing experience.More

The food was delicious. The ambient was relaxed and friendly. The staff was kind and helpful and offered their advice on the menu.

We have been here so many times, and love the food and the service but it is becoming really expensive. Pot Luck has a reputation and is really popular but we won't go back and pay these prices sadly - they are become far too...expensive.More

Lunch with friends. Service was very good and the food generally good, well presented. Portions are tapas size so the average meal needs several to be satisfied, unless you want ambiance only. Drinks menu well stocked. Order your ride timeously - waiting on the roadside...late on Sat afternoon is not the best place to be.More

Went there for Sunday brunch. Paid nearly $80 USD. Was served, with 4-5 courses which, except for the main course, were fairly small. Quality was excellent but service was very sporadic and not particularly friendly. My money could have been better spent elsewhere.

As stated the food was amazing. We chose the 6 course menu and each dish was delicious, and the meal was more than enough. I seriously doubt if we could have finished the 8 course menu. My daughter is allergic to ground nuts so they...went out of their way to give her substitutes. Perhaps the only drawback is that it is fine dining but even for fine dining it is very pricy, and so are the wines, so be prepared. Booking is a must.More

Best lunch ever! We recently had lunch at the Pot Luck Club and it was absolutely amazing. Our service was brilliant, all the food was so tasty and the vibe was fun! Really can’t wait to go back. We shared 5 plates, and 2 desserts....More than enough!More

We had dinner at the Pot Luck Club last night. We had booked the 8:30 seating and got a call to let us know we could arrive earlier. The hygiene concept they have at PLC is top notch, the best we've seen so far and...we felt really safe eating here. Leroy was a lovely and funny waiter, as well as the rest of the team. The food was amazing, explosions of taste;-) Please put the peri peri chicken back onto the menu. We will be back in November.More

We met friends at The Pot Luck Club and luckily we all had the same likings of food. So we ordered lots of different plates, all of which albeit sometimes only a teaspoon full, was simply delicious. The fact the TPLC has survived this awful...Covid lockdown and have been able to keep kitchen and staff motivated is commendable. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would go back again without hesitation.More

My hubby and I had dinner and ordered 7 tapas and a dessert each. The flavours of each course were out of this world. Every course a winner. Fresh new ideas for food. We were safely spaced apart and sanitizer was on every table. All...staff were correctly wearing their masks. The service was excellent - each course being brought swiftly and cleared as soon as we had finished. The menu and unique ordering system was clearly explained. My only grumble was the price of the wine! Exorbitant! Perhaps stock a few bottles of affordable wine.More
