Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 - Reservation 8:00pm (Prior RSVP with R350 PER PERSON deposit $19 USD) We flew to Cape Town from Los Angeles (28 hour Flight) for 2 things: First, our 17 day Virgin Voyages cruise & Second, to dine at The PotLuck Club....We first heard of the PotLuck Club while browsing on YouTube for places to eat while we were in Cape Town. A lot of videos on the food presentation and praises on the dishes. I believed I watched 10 videos and even saw a clip on the food channel of how The PotLuck Club was one of the Top 100 restaurants, in the World. Yes, World!! My husband and I love food. We are International foodies, we are not expert food connoisseurs (A.K.A. Food Snobs), we just cherish food that was made from the heart. And I swear we book our travels just to sample culinary experiences from around the world. We arrived with the warmest welcome from the hostess. Another gentleman sat us at the Food Counter, and we were served by Tony. It was nice watching the staff prepare the dishes and each one was vital for the end product of the tapas. We ordered 7 dishes, which was recommended by Tony, and all were Delicious. I couldn't tell you my favorite, because all were unique. We ordered: Taco 2.0 (most popular) Seared Tuna Jerusalem Artichoke Ash Roasted Beet Root Penang Pork Belly Wagyu (Special) African Cheeses The entire bill came out to less than $109 USD, which I could have gladly paid R6000 ( $315 USD) for this exceptional meal. Outstanding Service, excellent Presentation and Tony answered a lot of our questions. We took a taxi from our hotel directly there. It is located inside a private lot with a few more restaurants: Salon, Test Kitchen, etc. If you drive there directly, you will receive a voucher for free parking. Very secured and on site security. We definitely recommend The PotLuck Club - Cape TownMore

Amazing views all around from mountain side to Atlantic side. Wonderful service, super friendly staff and amazing food. The vegetarian options were few but superb. The meat options were devoured by my family. Loved the experience. Totally recommend a visit. However, the atmosphere can be...loud and tinny which can hinder conversation if the place is full.More

Wow - second night in Cape Town and our agent recommended Pot Luck Club which we booked a couple of months ago. Amazing food - 6 different dishes which more than filled us up! Lots of different flavours and sensations in our mouths. And wonderful...wine to accompany. The staff were knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful.More

Absolutely fabulous meal at PLC as ever. All the food is utterly delicious and super exciting. Even things we were very sceptical about were fabulous and there wasn’t a duff dish. Th sommelier is incredible - he has some astonishing bottles he’ll discuss with you...if you ask, all for comparatively good value. Absolute must if you’re in Cape TownMore

This hip restaurant in Cape Town is definitely worth a visit. The food quality is outstanding and our seats at the bar offered us a good insight in the preparations by the well equipped kitchen team. Service is friendly and knowledgable and prices reasonable for...the quality of products they serve. Menu is small and therefore all dishes are just spot on.More

We returned to eat here after a 10 year gap & the experience was just as fabulous as I remembered it. We had a chef’s table, with great views of the kitchen action. Every dish we had was well presented & tasted amazing. The wagyu...special was expensive, but worth the money. Great atmosphere, great service, great night.More

Everything was sooooo good and totally worth the hype! I loved that the food was top notch and yet the vibe was casual with no frills. Our waiter Sipho took such great care of us and made us feel so special as we were celebrating...our honeymoon :) highly recommend securing a reservation early and having lunch here.More

Very dissapointing. The restaurant is indeed a hype but that’s it. The food was not special and the place looks worn out. Sticky menu’s and counter, the menu’s full of staines😩. The windows look like they have not been washed n months. It is like...a big factory. The dishes are served in a very fast pace, not yet ready with a dish or alraedy asked for the next one. Waiter was totally disinterested and let us know after just opened a second botlle of wine at 19.45 that we must leave at 20.15. We wanted to order 2 meat dishes with the bottle of red wine but he made very clear that we had to move. 2 dishes out of 6 were good, the rest was mwah. We asked for the bill and left. Like the test kitchen, I am afraid the potlck club has a short life to go as well. There are lots of better restaurants in cape town!!More

Simply disappointing and from our 1 week experience eating around Cape Town and Constantia restaurants, pricey! Firstly, the Wagyu special course was exceptional. However, calamari were the toughest and chemist I have had. I was told calamari around the Cape are tough and its been...mentioned numerous times by guests. Sorry, Utopias calamari yesterday were the softest and cooked to perfection but not covered in a batter. If guests find it tough, I would suggest take it off the menu. Unfortunately, we also found the crispy cauliflower highly over seasoned. Sorry, but for what we paid, we were disappointed after the hype. The very grubby lift up to the restaurant is also a little disconcerting.More

Despite being in an industrial area and away from the tourist hub of the Waterfront , there was reassuringly good security and the Old Biscuit Mill was definitely unique! Take the lift to the top floor and wow what an experience! Our waiter Allen was...superb and the mix and match of food was just exquisite So so tasty; really delicious selection and all served up with impressive efficiency! I cannot recommend highly enough! A 5* meal!More
