….Once you enter at gate # 2 just a little way ahead you will encounter this very huge restaurant that offers seatings inside and outside under large green umbrellas both in-front and at the back which is more under tree cover. You have to wait...to be seated. The inside has a nice large long bar counter with a full-lii stocked bar but your drinks are served at your tables but now with level 3 implementation No alcohol is served. One thing that is very catch-ii is the food sign which says “Fynkos” one will almost think that the restaurants name is Fynkos as the umbrellas also advertise this but its only the food brand name, so very snazz-zii. All the staff wears mask all the time and at the entrance they spray your hands with sanitiser and the policy here is No Mask! No Entree! The staff on duty were friend-lii and the displayed pleasure in being of service to the patrons. Although we did not seat down to enjoy a meal we could notice that the place in-front and at the back was full and everyone were deep-lii engrossed in what ever they had ordered and were having a great time indulging. We only popped-in to purchase ice creams to have on our way on this splendored sunny summers afternoon walking to Rhodes Memorial. The flavours were delicious and very enjoyable and it cooled us off nice-lii. We tried the passion-fruit and the pistachio flavours but they had many more flavours to choose from. Here they serve breakfast, lunch and loads of niceties like cakes, pastries different refreshments etc, etc. If you don’t pack a picnic-basket at home you can purchase one right here too, so convenient and trouble-free. This is a must visit venue when visiting the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.More

After a leisurely stroll through the amazing gardens, Hilary and I had tea and scones. Service was great from a polite waiter. Scones 5 star. Lovely end to a super morning. Can't wait to return. Fresh cream was a plus.

Had a lovely afternoon at Kirstenbosch with my daughters. The service was great and the food was good, albeit a teeny bit expensive. Great salads, best vegetarian burger, and fresh fish. Lovely selection of teas, wines and sugar free, vegan deserts. Then u can walk...it off afterwards with those stunning views. An afternoon well spent.More

Very attractive and enticing. Seating inside and outside. Busy but service is good. Menu is comprehensive and both presentation and food quality are excellent. Pricing is high, but then it is probably aimed at the tourist and we locals have to accept that, which is...a pity. It just means that we don’t go as often as we would like.More

We stopped for a snack while visiting the Botanic Gardens and were not disappointed. The savoury muffins we had with our coffee were fantastic! Signs ask you not to use mobile devices while at the table; we enjoyed our muffins in peace. Pamela's recipe books...on sale in the restaurant.More

We called here after a walk round these truly lovely gardens. It is attended service and we really enjoyed our scone, biscuit and coffees. Together with a coke the bill came to R144 - quite happy with that. Tables inside or on a verandah.

We arrived to visit Kirstenbosch Gardens for the morning and it was raining so we popped into the tea room for an hour and enjoyed Cappuccinos and scones with jam and cream, was a rather delicious morning treat before enjoying the gardens.

Service was good, but food is very expensive for locals, tourists love it though. We shared their scones & had a cup of tea.

We pre ordered picnics on the internet. Very easy process. When we arrived to pick up the picnics all was ready. Excellent service. The food was amazing. Could not fault a thing. It was such a spoil.

This is wonderful news, thank you so much for your wonderful review. We have recently changed our picnic menu and turned our website into an e-commerce site both of which have been a huge success.

We were at Kirstenbosch on a foggy, colder day in Winter, and this was a perfect place to stop for a hot cup of tea and a sandwich mid-exploration!

We are not a Halaal restaurant but we are Halaal friendly. We even have pans marked with a key ring that is only used for our Muslim customers
