Dear ReneMiles123 Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback, we look forward to welcoming you again soon! Kind regards, Agnes
We had a delightful meal on the porch. Warm homemade bread was served before dinner. Fabulous beef and fish! Hidden gem!
Dear Ann K Thank you for your great review, we hope to see you again soon! Kind regards, Agnes
We spontaneously decided to celebrate an occasion here and were looking for simple but lovely fish and veggies for a ladies night. We were charged extra R30 each for grilled (not fried), extra R45 each to change chips for vegetables (we didn't receive chips) and...an extra R40 each for tartare sauce (which came free with fried fish). Exorbitant cost for a mediocre side street café fish meal. Unaccommodating and uninviting staff and ambiance. You've lost a customer.More
Dear Margot2622, Thank you very much for your valuable feedback, I am sorry you feel you have been overcharged, I have tried to explain to you myself on the evening that the dish you ordered was not the fish & chips...and I see that despite...More
My wife and I discovered this little gem as we ambled along Kloof St early afternoon on New Year’s Day. She had a Peasants salad and I had the simple Classic breakfast with sourdough bread. Both outstanding! The banana and peanut butter smoothie and ‘hangover’...juice with beetroot anchor was also just perfect! Service was friendly and efficient; setting, understated and comfortable - the sort of place that we will return to and recommend unreservedly!More
We popped in for dinner and got a table without reservation on a weeknight. Most of the Kloof St places attract neighborhood residents, which is nice. We waited a long time for the food, but the staff were very nice. Manager brought something beforehand since...I think he sensed I was not in a good mood. We didn´t order much as no one was really hungry, but must say the food was much better than anticipated. My only criticism would be that it is noisy for so few tables, and the plastic type runners smell bad (vinyl smell), so would have looked much nicer if only white tablecloths. Lastly, waitress may have been newer, and while very, very nice, was much too nervous and quick, and kept saying sorry and thank you so many times it became very annoying. The place could be much more sophisticated as they intend with a few small tweaks. We would return and give it another try.More
Excellent food and very good service! The staff is very friendly and the place looks nice. I would definitely come back here.
Excellent breakfast and coffee was on point. The fresh juices are delicious. Great ambiance and decor. The service is super efficient.
One of the best meals we had while dining up and down Kloof St. Fresh fish was a highlight. Great wine selection. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
What a fantastic find - Manna Epicure became our indulgent pleasure while we were back in Cape Town. Unassuming and unfussed, with such care an attention given to every plate of delicious food we tried, this has been our quiet and sneaky escape from the...madness of the world outside. Thank you to Deborah for always looking after us with such joy and to the team in the kitchen for always serving up the delicious morsels that we have delighted in trying!More
