great relaxed atmosphere. food is varied and can be paired with nice wines and a variety of beers - also draft! small groups of friends, sitting in front of the fireplace makes you feel at home and want to linger longer!

I would like to express our gratitude for a highly delightful evening at Rick's Cafe. I cannot imagine making any better choice of venue. From the moment I walked in the door to make the arrangements for the evening I felt nothing but a genuine interest from your side to give the best I have received rave reviews about the... More

My wife and I had a drink at Rick's last year and were intrigued by the menu. With winter setting in we decided to dine at Ricks on 27 May and sample the tagine options. The chicken was dry and the veggies that came with it were tasteless. The beef was over-cooked and tough - biltong tagine would have been... More

Thank you so much for taking the time by letting us know about your disappointing dinning experience. We are very sorry that your chicken and beef Tajine where dry, the vegetables tasteless as well as your portions to small. That a badly prepared dish is slipping past the head chef is unacceptable. Most of the time our costumers go home... More

We've been going to Rick's for a while now and we keep coming back mainly because of the food. The lamb tajine is my favourite, rocks me every time! My girlfriend is into their steaks. And our baby, well, he's not eating anything there yet:) But I find the place warm when you need it to be, in terms of... More

We visited Rick's Cafe for the first time last year on our annual Golf Tour to SA, we had such a great evening that we decided to revisit. Again we were not disappointed. We were welcomed by a smiling Hostess on arrival who suggested to have a Cocktail at the Roof terrace Bar, We both thought this was a lovely... More

Mixed feelings about this place. After giving our booked table away because we were 20 mins late they were really accomodating and re-organised things to get our large group of 10 in. The service then however was bad from start to finish. We waited about 30mins to get a drinks order taken. Another wait for the food order and then... More

I had a whole week in the city bowl of Cape Town looking at various, cafes, restaurants and delys. I stumbeled across Rick's on an early afternoon with tired feet and hungry. I stept inside and immediately felt at home, the friendly staff immediately at my service, eating at that time was no problem and I had the best burger... More

A wonderfull deck area to sit and have cocktails with tapas (a wide selection), I can really recommend the Wibo Balls and Ribs. They serve the most amazing steaks and the the inside area with fireplaces is fantastic for winter time. The vibe is energetic and the staff is helpful in every way be it choosing one of the many...
