Stopped at this busy cafe for a beer and soft drink, quickly shown to a table by a seemingly attentive waiter, paid at bar, drinks served promptly. When we called the guy over to order two muffins he went away and he didn’t return. 20...mins later we gave up. Not the best device. Location good local music playing in the area, pleasant but felt a bit let down.More

Horrible service with high prices. Didn't order food as prices was much higher than more respectable restaurants in Cape Town. Never again!.. "Må jeres numsehul klø for evigt og jeres arme være for korte til at nå"

Lousy service, we didn’t get our order of drinks, and gave up on food as no one was interested in servicing us! We had to threaten to leave without paying to even get the bill. Never again!!

We wanted good pizza for lunch. This cafe was recommended to us but it was the worst pizza we have had in a long time. The bases are bought, not prepared on site. There was an excess of cheese and the pizzas were undercooked. We...wished we had ignored the recommendation and gone to a proper Italian restaurant.More

We did the “free history walk” that started right out front; we came in with a less than 15 minutes to spare before the start, and they prepared lunch to go for us very quickly. I will say that overall I was surprised how slow...service in SA was overall (i.e. Americans expect a coffee order to be quick, and it was never, not once) – so in comparison, these guys really moved for us! We had a tuna sandwich and a bacon cheese tomato sandwich, and both were very good.More

There is no parking near this café but plenty of people to watch. Stopped here on a damp morning waiting for the market to fully set up for trading. The coffees were quickly served and we were waited on attentively. The street scene is a...great attraction and kept us amused. The pigeon racing was an added bonus as they swooped up and down the road. Security is evident and the bustle of the market was well worth the brief stay.More

Went there last week. Was served by Michaela. She was very attentive and professional. The food was excellent and the beer, COLD!!!!! Well done on your reopening and employ more staff like Michaela.

We went for lunch there and first I want to mention the friendly and very quick waitor! But the rest was crazy: please, for your own safety, do not take the Penne! They already looked horrible, tasted like nothing, except of the fact, that the...noodles must have been in the water for faaaar too long. My own club Sandwich was heavily overprized and the bacon tasted more like a a rubber shoe. But the worst thing was - and in our whole south africa round trip we have never experienced this so far: there was a 10% gratuity already charged on your bill and an additional space for a tip, so it is likely to overread it. All in all a typical overprized tourist trap.More

Food was plain and overpriced. He gave me a dirty bottle (dust and hair on the pouringtip) of olive oil. I commented it and he came back with a new that was just as dirty. Bad experience.

This is a typical tourist trap when you are hungry and a little grumpy and you just want to eeeeat! We had pizza here, too much cheese but apart from that it was very good! Wifi is free and good, the drinks were many and...good. It's not at all a bad place, so if you're hungry and happen to walk in here you're lucky!More
