Food was great, till I found a glass marble in my mouth..almost swallowed it... Strange reaction after telling this a waitress..."but we don't even have marbles here"...this kind of stuff maybe can happen BUT this reaction like I have put it in my food is not very professional...it's a pity, was really looking forward to eat there...

As tourists, we wanted to cover all the popular places in Cape town and Mama africa was always in every list. Long street, where this cafe is situated, is full of interesting cafes and restaurants, but this building was intriguing from outside and colourful from inside. We went in for some coffee and were directed towards their snake bar and... More

I can say that the food was great but i can not say same for the service. I think it is undeveloped city that's provide slow and bad hospitality service, BUT I have been working in this industry for the past 3 years and also went to other local restaurant and I know that doesn't matter where you from or... The food tasted good! I ordered a soup as starter. But when I got the main course I was shocked how big the portion was. I knew I had no chance to finish this one. If I had known, that the main course is that big, I wouldn't have ordered a starter. When I looked at my left, there were... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a waiter in another restaurant. Going in there, there was nice live music and lively bar scene. We were excited at the menu choices alongside the friendliness of the staff there. However we were very disappointed by the food. The portions were too small and it genuinely felt like a tourist trap to us.

We booked online from home as Soth African restaurants fill up quite quick, as we were staying in long street it was also convenient. It is sold as an African music and dining experience and the colourful exterior and internal decor lives up to expectations. A 7.30 table for two allowed for happy hour cocktails up the road, arriving prompt... More

Food was interesting. You can sample some of the animals you will see on Safari but DO NOT WORRY, these are "farm raised" not wild animals, that would put them out of business (and if they ever to that, it should). Evening entertainment a bit loud (for my age group) but they offer entertainment "ala carte". Great location in the... More

This place has awesome food but the service is very slow. Once the food arrived it was worth the wait! The crocodile was awesome!

The best food we had during our 30 day trip through South Africa! Nice place, friendly staff, amazing food and don't miss their awesome brownie as desert. Music was also really good, and it made our night ever more special. Definitely a must go in Cape Town! A Bit expensive, I must say, but worthy going. PS: don't forget to... More

We booked in advance via their website. That was easy and they confirmed quickly. Service was extremely polite, relaxed and friendly. Our waitress (Apathia?) was lovely and seemed honestly interested in us and made us feel ourselves very welcome. Service was smooth and quick. Our dishes (Big game and Brawns) were extremely delisious and we were sorry not being able... More
