Milton thought his lot was bad. This was a once in a millennium lousy experience, truly paradise lost. About as atrocious a level of service as I could've imagined, yet worse. Ignored by our host all evening, we finally sought refuge with another staff member,...who brought us our now-cold meal. Our host scurried along behind her to bring our equally frigid side orders. The Paradiso can be forgiven for not offering condiments of any kind, since this was by now obviously irrelevant. The good news is that we have a microwave in our home, so we can heat up the meal served (unintentionally) cold to us, although it would've been quite lekker to have it hot in the restaurant. I also must commend Cafe Paradiso on its uncompromising stance on price: unwavering, and extremely high, regardless of how pitiful the offering is. A 'Better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven' service approach? Dunno. Ask Milton. Or these jokers.More

Good food and very friendly service. Pasta was solid, the ostrich excellent and the cheese cake to die for. All at a very fair price

Went a couple of times during our say in Cape Town. Welcoming staff, lovely garden setting. Enjoyed our meals especially the fish (Kingklip).

Visited on a Saturday evening with our children. The menu is extensive and they also offered a 'Pizza Project' where children can make their own pizzas in a room at the back. Great for entertaining children before the food arrives. I ordered the Chicken Gyros...and my partner had the roasted cauliflower flat bread. Both dishes were excellent and big portions too. We sat in the garden at the front and you get a nice view of Table Mountain National Park.More

Our visit was not not a visit in paradise, not even close. It turned out to be an evening with unmotivated personnel, not really good food and the feeling that we were at the wrong place on a Sunday evening. Too bad, we have had...very nice evenings here before, but this seems to be over.More

We rarely leave bad reviews but felt like we had to. We got to the restaurant at 7pm, no host to welcome us. One guy that might have been a server looked busy but still took us to our table. We waited 25 minutes and...no one came to take our order, no water…nothing . We got up and left. We went to Black Sheep instead and had a lovely meal.More

Really tasty food, nice location. Unfortunately a bit run-down, with rickety furniture and dirty tablecloths. Mixed service: few nice faces, but mostly grumpy and obviously forced to work. A pity …

As a first stop once landing from Germany, we were excited to dine at this restaurant! Utter disappointment! Service was terrible: from the tacky plastic menus, to having the evening’s specials menu given to 4 of us on a one page torn A4 paper sheet!...Waitrons forgetting basics like napkins and orders! Utter waste of an evening! Management should reevaluate this lost opportunity! Won’t go there again!More

Poor food, although friendly served , but it was disappointing experience. The chairs and tables were completely worn out and my pizza was also tasteless.

What an experience with Table mountain right by the entrance. This little gem is certainly one for the books. I can count on my one hand the amount of places I have been to where the atmosphere and the food is something to write stories...about. First I was sceptical walking up the stairs after reading reviews but this is a place where the wait is worth it. I had the 300g steak and it was like a symphony in my mouth the combination of bone marrow and black mushrooms make every bite a fantasy. Well done to the chef you have made my day.More

Lovely lunch sitting outside with friends but sorry to say the staff were terrible So laid back & slow I thought they were training to be tortoises , they had zero service skills and having to ask twice for ketchup to go with the fries...came along just as the last of the fries was finished on the Cajun Chicken meal God only knows when the place is busy as there was only four tables visibly eating and nobody came to ask if all was okay at any stage of the meal The food was perfect but sadly the waiting staff need some “ Customer Care Training “ or a rocket up there backside to put the venue back in good ratings again Food 10/10 Service 3/10More

Dinner pleasant but nothing to write home about. Service poor. Very little attention given to service, had to go and ask for drinks ordered. Not a what it used to be.

I went to Cafe Paradiso when I was young and returned today after some time. The lovely vibe and rustic look are still there. I enjoyed the vegetable bowl, a real burst of flavours. This was a great return, and many memories were recalled.

Ate here twice, both times food was exceptional. When quiet service was excellent, but when busy they needed more staff as it’s a very popular restaurant. Wouldn’t stop me going back as the food was so good, but just didn’t feel like staying around to...order dessert when they were busy.More

They had lots of kids activities inside. No reason to think that Sunday would be excluded, but don't know for sure.
