I loved every moment I spent in this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food to die for and the coffee and frankincense was a really beautiful way to end my meal.

Injera baskets filled with little piles of tasty food. My wife had been to the sister restaurant in Tanzania and so said we could not miss the opportunity to experience it again while in Cape Town. I recommend the set menu.

I highly recommend this as part of any holiday to Cape Town. The food was great(you eat with your fingers) and the service was great. Could do without some of the incense.

We were looking for a Different Cuisine (to experiment) for dinner. And we happened upon this place on Google. We went in without any expectations and came out with a smile. The setting/ambience /interior is very very different from a normal restaurant. They have these...More

Great authentic Ethiopian food. We had an evening in here, it was a very warm evening but was luckily sat next to an open window. Very relaxed atmosphere, dim lighting and very casual. Low chairs and low tables and you eat with your hands, no...More

This is a cool restaurant to visit with a group, as the food style is communal. You sit on low chairs and really get a nice introduction to the Ethiopian way of doing things, from the pre dinner hand washing to the shared food. The...More

If you've never tried Ethiopian food before, that's the spot. If you go there as a group, just go for the set menu with a mix of non vegetarian and vegetarian platters, you'll enjoy a perfect overview of Ethiopian gastronomy. Service just perfect as well....More

Amazing food and good service. Gave a real authentic feel and something different to what I am use to. Had fun eating with my hands.

Description
Addis in Cape! Voted best African Eatery in Cape Town, an authentic Ethiopian restaurant that caters for Non-vegetarian, Vegan and Vegetarian clients. We provide a unique communal dining experience you, your family and friends will remember. From traditional hand-wash ceremonies to our traditional Ethiopian coffee we promise a memorable experience.
Ethiopian cuisine is famous for its rich aromas and generous use of herbs and spices. The country was historically situated on trading routes that included the trade of many exotic spices; this history has had a tremendous influence on the taste of Ethiopian food as we know it. Today most of the herbs and spices are blended and prepared in the home with great love and attention, as are those used in Addis in Cape. The dishes that you taste here are unique to Ethiopia and we are proud as a restaurant to share them with you.
