So we had to wait over an hr for our mains in a restaurant which was almost empty. 4/5 toilets I tried after my meal were all terribly dirty- I had to bring this to the attention of the manager as well. Pity because the food was good but everything else completely way below par. Visit at your own risk.

Firstly the view is astounding. Situated on Camps bays breathtaking beach strip. Then the tapas style sushi is brilliant. Bit pricy but worth it.

We visited twice during our stay in Camps Bay (one lunch and one dinner) and both meals were great. I especially enjoyed the shrimp tempura. Good wine list too. The whisky bar at the rear of the restaurant was completely empty when we went. The range on offer is really good and reasonably priced however, the measures are tiny! You'd... More

Title says it all. Great service, delicious food and a gorgeous sea view. They even do vegetarian exceptionally well! Yum. This will be our first choice on our return.

My husband and I ate here and we were very disappointed. Drinks order was incorrect, wrong starter brought out. The miso soup (starter) was way too salty and the tian of prawns very bland (I've had so much better). We both ordered the black cod (R1400 for two) for our main and it was almost inedible - way way too... More

Took family for dinner. Great view looking down on vibey street. Great location for sundowners. Efficient service. Sushi was average. Hamburger did not impress my daughter. Wine overpriced. If you want to eat sushi there are better alternatives - including take-away and sitting on the beach and Mezzepoli which is almost next door.

Stopped here after watching the sunset on Camps Bay Beach. Camps Bay doesn't fail for sunsets and Umi is a nice setting to sit, chat, have a few drinks and some sushi. The restaurant is a bit confusing in layout, I think by day they have a different set up compared to the night. The waiter was very friendly. The... More

Nice find on Camps Bay. Great food and good service. We had the potstickers to start and Teriyaki beef and chicken for mains. The beef was extremely tender and the chicken tasty, both served with sticky rice. Glad we chose here from the other places. Very reasonable to.

I decided to take my Wife and Daughter for Sushi @ Umi, as my visiting Cousins from Johannesburg had introduced my wife and I to Umi on there last visit to Cape Town, Food was Great that Day, as it was on this Beautiful Evening. Our opinion was that it was the Best Sushi that we have ever Tasted, because... More
