Visited the gorgeous Tindlovu Camps Bay and what a cozy and beautifully decorated place. The place has an amazing atmosphere with lovely friendly staff. The food was really good and the portions are big just the way my husband loves it. The few is so...stunning as it has a lookout to the beautiful Camps Bay Beach, also they are reasonably priced and definitely worth your money. Perfect for date nights or just going out for lunch or dinner with some family or friends. Will definitely recommend you give them a visit.More

Excellent Service and Quality Food

We called in one night for a meal, not sure how it would be as the restaurant was almost empty, probably because it is on the first floor and not particularly well sign posted at ground level. The staff however, were brilliant in welcoming us...and offering the ladies some face painting, as per their own African style. We were delighted with the meals and drinks and the service was second to none. The variety of meals was good and the beers and wines were great, at a very reasonable price. It was disappointing that there were very few other people there at the time, as we thought it was the best meal and waiter service we had received in Camps Bay. In fact we were so impressed that we booked to go again the next night and were not disappointed. Please give it a try and take your friends, it would be a real shame to see it fail through lack of custom.More

Very Memorable and Totally South African

Tindlovu turned out to be one of our most memorable meals in Cape Town and totally embodies the beach vibe of Camps Bay and the spirit, flavors, and hospitality of South Africa. Come hungry because the portions here are extremely generous. What I loved was...that they elevate classic South African flavors and ingredients, like chakalaka and pap, into fine dining. The result is sublime. I still long for the light and airy pumpkin fritters with caramel sauce that are so decadent they should be a dessert. The service was exceptional and began with a cool, refreshing towel service. I would come back in a heartbeat. Also, the ocean views are stunning!More

Excellent food and service

The food was excellent. I had the springbok which was great with proper chips. My husband had the seafood platter which he loved. The best meal we had in our week in Camps Bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Worth a visit.

Amazing food with beautiful views and friendly staff!

The food was absolutely wonderful and the staff were very friendly. The view of the beach and the open air dining was perfect! A great spot to sit and relax with great food and drink.

Worth a visit

So we had to wait a bit for supper but it really was worth it. Lynton our waiter was fun and attentive. Robin and Shannon in kitchen turned out delicious food. Best we’ve eaten in Camps Bay.

Excited to go but left disappointed

Booked in advance but very quiet for a Saturday night. The waiter seemed pleasant enough but looked ill at ease when we’d ordered mussels and South African gazpacho. What we got was a very small portion of mussels and a plate of cold meat of...which I ate a couple of slices. We called the waiter who didn’t understand that I had ordered gazpacho and not carpaccio so we asked for the manager. He apologised and eventually I was served a small cup of gazpacho. My wife’s fried hake and chips was really good but my South African stew with dumplings was a bit similar to Gregg’s steak and kidney pie. I asked for the bill and noticed that they had charged me for both the gazpacho and the carpaccio. I brought this to the attention of the manager who took the bill away. After watching him discuss the bill with the chef and some of the staff for about 10 minutes he brought it back and asked me to knock off the R145 myself which I found very odd. As I knocked it off the main total he reappeared and did it himself agreeing with me the new total. How strange was that - most weird.More

The legend waiter that is ‘Memory’ just severed me the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!!! ... and that’s hard as I’m English and I know a good fish and chips! 😁 good location too.. great view of camps bay!! I will be back...👌🏻More
