Delicious food, I ordered two starters: fish cakes and Arancini. Both were delectable! A lovely ambiance to the restaurant and wonderful view whilst dining. Waiting staff were very kind and attentive.

We went twice on our last visit thinking the first meal to be just bad luck with a tough steak ,which was replaced by another slightly better one .but the second was a total disaster,my wife ordered a main meal and a Greek salad but...just brought a huge dish of lettuce ,4 small pieces of feta 1 small tomatoes cut in half and a slice of red onion and told they had run out of her main order ..this place as gone down hill .it used to be full of holiday makers having a nice meal now it caters for locals as a smoking jointMore
A total fiasco dining experience with overcooked steaks/meats and no any compensation for the bad food. First time, when we told the waiter about the issue while eating, he just stated “okay” and went away and did nothing. Afterwards when we said about the issue...again and suggested nicely some compensation the waiter first said he will give us one free beer but because we asked maybe two beers because we were two and both steaks were overcooked he said he’ll ask the boss lady to discuss with us. The boss did not take any responsibility and said that any compensation could not be paid because the waiter didn’t get our plates/steaks back to the kitchen😁 So the boss blaimed the waiter and also just walked away. After that “episode”, because it seemed that there was no other option than to be satisfied with the one free beer we said that to the waiter, but the waiter refused to give us the beer insisting the bar was already closed even if there was still plenty of people in the restaurant/bar and he could take the beer from the tap😁More
We had Sihle as our waiter , she’s the best she took care of us. The shisha guy was also great , we indeed had a great time. Thank you. 🙏
Service was very bad and slow. Beef meat was more than over well done and the restaurant and the manager did't take any responsibility and blamed the waiter. Very pathetic! Finally the manager "disappeared" and not any compensation was given.
When I called the restaurant to book this over 6 weeks in advance for a Saturday night they told me they were fully booked but would squeeze me in, I wish they hadn’t bothered. The restaurant was only half full, no idea where the squeeze...us in came from. The food was very underwhelming, no flavours and very dull. My wife had the cauliflower steak and it was hard and no flavour. I had the ribs and I have never struggled so much to cut and eat a meal, it was tough meat. I am used to having then, eat fall off the bone but this took all my strength to cut. I even had to ask for a steak knife in the end to try and help. We ordered the starters and they served the wrong order for me so it went back and I sat and watched my wife eat her tough squid. My prawns finally arrived as she finished and they looked lovely but were full of fat and very greasy. I ordered a double vodka and coke and it tasted like a coke, either they only put a single in or someone was watering down the drinks. All in all for a Saturday night it was not a great experience. We ended up back in the hotel for 10pm with a cup of tea to try and finish the evening on a high. I have worked out that most of the restaurants on the seafront on Camps Bay are overpriced and the food is underwhelming. My advice venture out away from the seafront as the food is better priced and tastes 1000% better.More
I had a cocktail which originally arrived half full. I had the kingklip for dinner, the portion was very small and my partner had the vegan burger which isn’t served as a burger and was dry/ almost inedible. Overpriced and not worth it. Service I...found to be pretty good. The manager was lovely.More
We ordered different plates through Uber Eats for delivery at home. First order, we got a message that certain dishes were not available (2 out of 3 of the ordered dishes). We modified our command. Afterwards, again certain dishes were not available. We again modified...our order. And then finally, our order was simply cancelled by the restaurant. All that took an hour. If they did not want to serve us, which I can understand, they should have told us right away… So better not order through Uber Eats with this restaurant.More
Decent location, with a beach view, but at street level. So, so across the board on food & service
I deeply regret choosing to have my sons 18th birthday dinner here. The manager and some staff were rude, passive aggressive and extremely unwelcoming. The food was average and yes the view was pretty but there are many venues in camps bay with the same...view and far friendlier ambience. It really left a bad taste in my mouth the sheer unnecessary unfriendliness. Please read the reviews on this place before wasting your time and money there.More
This place has no management, the waiters were absent,The burgers were mediocre and no attention given to clients,We waited long to get service, smoking allowed in area where the food was served Just a terrible experience with seemingly no service.I will never go there again
This place is a must visit if you go to Camps Bay, Cape Town! The breakfast here is unreal and I highly recommend Wendy’s Granola! My friends and I went here most mornings for breakfast and we felt we didn’t want to try anywhere else!...ALL of the staff were very well presented, friendly and could not do enough for you, the service here was impeccable. Special thanks to Emma the manager who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Long story short but we ended up on ‘This Mornings’ show in the UK as we saw the presenter filming on the beach, we were so excited and to celebrate the lovely owner of The 41 brought us 7 Bucks Fizz to celebrate - I can’t recommend this place enough, such a lovely relaxing vibe here and I will definitely have my breakfast here again next time I visit! Thanks everyone at The 41 keep doing what you do!More
After reading all the rave reviews I decided to go for dinner last night. The view is fantastic, the food was a disappointment. The kingklip was possibly the size of the palm of my hand, very thin and cost R230. Definitely not worth it.
You can’t beat the energy and ambience of the 41 right on camps bay beach, watching the sunset, but the food was just average at best and service was slow. We have much better food elsewhere in Cape Town during the week.
Appalling- DO NOT RISK IT The restaurant was very quiet which should have been a sign, but we had dinner at the upstairs ‘Mantra’ the night before and it was excellent so thought that The 41 would be equally as good. However, it was awful....We waited over an hour for breakfast, coffees took an age to arrive and all of this was blamed on Load-shedding which is a blanket excuse. When it did come it was half cold and by that time the meal was ruined with poor service and long waiting times, as a result I would not recommend it at all.More
