We ALWAYS visit 4 Sheep restaurant when traveling via Beaufort West. The experience and food is normally top notch. This time around we visited on a Sunday evening and ordered a burger and lamb shank. The burger came recommended and was delicious! The lamb shank...and mash however was dry ..... maybe left over from Sunday lunch.... a bit disappointing especially as it is a bit pricey and you expect the quality you pay for.... We will return to 4 Sheep on our next travels through Beaufort West....no lamb shanks will be ordered though...More

Delicious lamb burgers, friendly staff. Pleasant air conditioned dining room above a great little shop and deli. A good alternative to the usual, boring roadside fare.

The food here is of a high standard. Very impressed with my first taste of a lamb burger. Very generous portions, friendly staff and speady service. I will definately recommend stopping here for a refreshment or something to fil that hole in you tummy when...on holiday.More

One of the few places in the area open for dinner at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The lamb was excellent. We had the karoo lamb shank with mashed potato which just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. The Karoo lamb curry...with rice and the karoo lamb patty with salad. The lamb was fantastic quality and flavour. The heat in the curry was low for our taste buds, but they served us a super spicy chilli sauce when we asked for it and just 2 drops of that sauce totally transformed the dish. They had a lot of interesting dishes on the menu, but after driving in the heat and the air conditioning not being powerful enough to make a difference, we just wanted quick and easy to eat dinner. We picked up some condiments from their store and I've opened the sweet mustard to eat - its fantastic. I've yet to open the olives and relishes. The store below sells frozen lamb, but I didn't want to risk it in the heat to bring it back to Joburg.More

This is so much more than just your average stop-over on the way to the Cape. Really good, fresh food, with some interesting menu items - like sheep's head - if you dare! Great breakfasts, good burgers, excellent coffee.

We had the BEST lamb dinner ever at this little restaurant. Nothing fancy, just great service and beautiful food! Try their roast lamb and cheesecake for a delightful gourmet experience and the staff are super friendly!
