About
Braza will take you on a culinary journey making our first port of call in Cape Town. Once we collected some amazing spice from the Capetonians, we set sail to Argentina where we pick up on the char grilling of meat. Sail further north for a short sail we stop in at the land of color and dancing. This is not all Brazil has to offer, this is where we learn to adopt citrus will fresh chilli. Amazing! We set sail continuing our voyage, heading for the Med Sea, stopping at every port and learning authentic cooking ideas. Whatever we cook for you at Braza we will make sure that we have used every bit of knowledge and the love and passion we have for food.

The feeling I got from walking into this restaurant was of walking into a boarding school kitchen. Sitting outside on the balcony helped. My wife's fish order had to change because they did not have the menu item she initially ordered. The variety of seafood available was sorely lacking for a coastal town. I had a pizza which was no better than you would get from a takeaway establishment. At least my daughter's butternut pizza was an interesting and enjoyable proposition.

What a pleasant visit. Stanley our waiter was fantastic. He even went as far as to pop out to the shop to buy cucumber as they had run out all so we could enjoy the delicious table salad with our meals. The food was well prepared and delicious We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned the next evening as well.

We were pleasently surprised when we saw Greco opened in St Lucia. The food was delicious, the waiter was friendly and went out of his way to accommodate our requests, and the new decor added to the relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely visit again

Most of the food places in St Lucia are pretty dire, seemingly existing to gouge the slow-witted tourists in this town. Ordered the sole and my heart sank immediately after I did as I knew what I was going to get. Ennui had however set in in this dull place so I didn’t bother to change. True to form, I received a piece of fish that had perhaps last seen the sea…oh a good few years ago. Never ceases to amaze how these coastal towns – especially this place with hundreds of boats coming in – serve the most awful fish.

No atmosphere - feels like a pop-up store. No decor and old ocean basket settings. Ordered fish and chips and chicken and salad. Chicken arrived when we’d already finished the fish, without a salad which was ‘coming soon’. When we go to dinner together we expect to eat our meals together. Waiting staff are inattentive and poorly trained it seems.

Braza is a great family restaurant. It ticks all of the right boxes: location, menu, staff and quality of food. Situated right on St Lucia's main street, there is ample safe parking. On approaching the stairs that lead up to the restaurant, you are greeted by a huge back-lit menu on the wall. This is a great way to decide your course of action before ascending to the facility itself. As you arrive at the restaurant, you are greeted warmly by professional staff. Our waiter, Prosper, was charasmatic and energetic. He understood our needs and worked hard and cheerfully to fulfil them. Finally, the food was fantastic and well-priced. We will definitely be back!

Stayed four nights in St Lucia and went here for our final night having heard it's the best food in St Lucia... The staff were super friendly and accommodating even giving us a reserved table which was not required until later. Some great menu choices strangely on a block on the table instead of the menu. Sadly missed those. Salad was great but the steak very poor. The waitress was extremely apologetic but offered to tell the chef. End of story. The atmosphere was very pleasant until the manager? appeared pressing the very busy staff to prioritise organising a table for a group of five new arrivals. It wasn't a good show in front of guests and spoiled the ambience of the restaurant. Not the best evening to visit.

Really mediocre for high prices. Drink quickly, then wait a long time for food. Total chaos among staff and in my opinion guests left after bad cold food. Food did not arrive at the same time, pasta was made with sauce from a jar and not refined at all and the chicken sauce was way too spicy. Meat and fries are also not served with vegetables. Would skip the restaurant in St Lucia if you are looking for something to eat. VAT Personnel also indicated that it was chaos.

First time in St Luci, after a long 7h journey waiting for friends to arrive, we thought we would try Braza. Lovely balcony seating. Braza food was lovely. The staff made a huge effort to accommodate us with the renovation happening next door. The German coffee, fresh juice from Kauai. great sushi, lovely tasting prawns. Our children even enjoyed the sushi started seared salmon, on cucumber. even the chicken stripes was taste

Braza in St. Lucia, South Africa, offers a pleasant dining experience with an extensive menu that has something for everyone. We ate there two nights in a row, and the variety of dishes makes it a place that caters to different tastes and preferences. The restaurant's balcony offers a nice view of the street, and if you're lucky, you might even see a hippo running around. The staff was friendly, although they sometimes appeared a bit rushed, which can slightly disturb the relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless, Braza remains highly recommended, especially due to the unique setting and varied menu. Whether you're looking for meat, fish, or vegetarian options, this restaurant offers a wide range of choices for every taste. A good place to enjoy a meal in St. Louis. Lucia!

Situated on McKenzie Street, Braza is a Portuguese Restaurant.... has a wide variety of seafood, steaks and chicken. The prices are above normal and an average meal could cost around R300 per person. The food is not as spicy as normal Portuguese food so I will go with their peri peri options if spice is a requirement

Dinner with family, fresh fish, calamari and prawns prepared either grilled, fried or cajun. Had generator to cover load shedding. Our server, Slindile was excellent and efficient. Very pleasant night out

A really great dinner. Talent, our waitress, described the dishes in detail helping us to understand and choose proving to be kind, welcoming and competent. The starter platter was delicious, the meat really tasty (Portuguese steaks, Braza steaks Rump and espetadas). The waiting time for the dishes was a bit 'excessive, but to excuse the kitchen we have to say that the tables were many. In any case an experience I would recommend.

The BEST food we had in South Africa was at Braza! Our Safari guide stopped here prior to the visit to the Estuary, and we pre-ordered our lunch. When we returned from the Estuary, we were seated promptly and our food arrived shortly after that. It was delicious,,, we tried several other restaurants after Braza hoping to get the same delicious shrimp and calamari and fish,, but while we had several other good meals none compared to Braza! If you are in St. Lucia, go to Braza for a meal!!

We give this restaurant 2 stars, one is for the wine and the other for the service. These were both good! Unfortunately, the food is much less. The scampies were even dirty, not even tough but even worse. And they were floating in the sauce. They thought so themselves because we didn't have to pay for this one. The fish we got afterwards was also overcooked. Too bad! With a few small adjustments, they would get far here. Keep it all a little more pure.
