The food and service was awsome. Oom Johny and his wife are doing something incredible with this little place. Will eat there everytime we pass through.

Very friendly service, and tasty food to go with it. Lamb with samp potjie came out in good time, very tasty: It did not need the ‘blatjang’ (chutney🤪) to spice it up. Wife’s bobotie also got two thumbs up. Small but VERY reasonably priced wine...list. Quint and welcoming Pub in annex.More
Excellent service from Paul us, great pub food and a great price. Lunch for 4 adults and 2 kids was under a R1000. A charming olde world setting. Pilgrim's Rest is slowly sorting itself out after almost being destroyed by the ANC. Worth a visit!
We had the Lamb’s potjiekos with saml, Chicken curry with samp and the chicken schnitzel- OH-MY-WORD! The food was amazing. It was a cols and rainy day and we were craving hot, home cooked meals and this just hit the spot! The Chicken Curry was...so full of flavour and obviously made with so much love. The lambs potjie (according to my husband who had that for lunch) was delicious. a Perfect place to stop, stretch your legs and have a good meal before you continue to travel. Very impressedMore
Wonderful restaurant, great food, great service, just the best in town. Will definitely visit again.

The food is DELICIOUS and the milkshakes also. The bathrooms are nice and clean. Good fast service and friendly people. Over all a good restaurant.

We loved the Vine restaurants menu and food! the chicken curry was the best curry that I have ever had at a non-indian restaurant! the service was good and the manager was great!

We were on our way from JoBurg to Blyde River Canyon and had lunch in this restaurant. This place is really a jewel that brings you back in time to the gold rush in this area. Everything feels authentic - but not like kitsch. The...pub was already filled at lunch time with some local guys having a beer - probably a good place to get first hand information about the area. We found the service in the restaurant very quick and friendly. The food was good, it's not a fine dining experience after al, but this is probbaly not the reason to come here. :) Traditional food, burgers, salads - all in big quantities and good quality. The milk shakes were excellent!More

Wonderful old building full of original furniture and memorabilia. Pub at the back and an outdoor eating area at the side. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ambiance was great. Food was very good. If you have a person with disabilities you can drive up to...the front of the building and let them out then move on and park the car. When you park the car ensure you tell the boy you don’t want the car wash otherwise when you come back they will have washed your car and ask for 80 rand.More

It is a wonderful looking little restaurant. But service was glacial and food was not as ordered. A real shame.
Lovely restaurant and great service. The food was well presented and tasty. Well priced all round great experience.

This wonderful restaurant in the heart of Pilgrim's Rest is a must visit. Quality food , home made burgers and chips as well as their signature home-made tomato sauce. Wide selection of other meals. After lunch or dinner pop in to their pub for friendly...visit with the locals. Owner managed with exceptional service and loads of laughs. Love every time we visit, feels like home!More

Can’t say much because we loved everything we ordered. We sat outside at the picnic table and it was a very nice way to end our evening. Thanks
