Our family had a lovely breakfast here, which was great value, along with piping hot cappuccinos! The kids enjoyed frolicking on the lawns below.

Had a delicious bolognese lasagna and wonderful soup. And no small feat in a country where salads are based on lettuce: an rich fresh market vegetable salad. Good service too. Great for families too.
I had the spaghetti bolognaise . The bolognaise was delicious the best I have had ! My sister had the Quattro stagionni which had generous amounts of artichokes, mushrooms and ham . Would highly recommended
My wife and I visited for a beer or three and decided to stay for supper. The deck is very nice and overlooks the countryside and trees. We both had the veggie soup and pita bread for starters. The pita bread was homemade and outstanding...and the veggie soup ditto. My wife had the chicken pita which was excellent and I had fillet steak, baked potato and creamed spinach. The baked potato was piping hot and well cooked as was the creamed spinach. My fillet steak was stone cold(as in straight out the fridge) I did tell the waitron and she fetched the manager. We had a long conversation about his chef but this didn’t fix the problem of my cold meat. He did offer to take the cost off the bill. We ended up paying the whole bill as that was what arrived and I gave the waitress a big tip as it wasn’t her fault. She was excellent and caring. If you go I would suggest you stick to the pizzas, focaccia bread or pitas….. seems to be their specialty.More
Arrival was met with a sullen waitron. She clearly had no interest but still took my Corona temp etc. She didn't show me where to sit. Ordered cappuccino. That was fine. Another waitron took my order. I ordered the farm breakfast. Bacon wasn't mentioned on...the menu. I asked whether it was included. I was assured it was AND wors. I asked why that wasn't on the menu. He didn't know. Food was quick, but oh so oily! The kitchen staff were VERY loud but maybe they were overheard because there was no music playing. What a pity that this place sits on our doorstep and I won't be back in a hurry. Nobody came and asked me how the meal was whilst eating which suited me fine as I hate being interrupted. So that was good, for me at least.More
We heard a few people suggest this venue had the best pizzas in town, so opted to do an early family dinner at the venue. My daughter had a focaccia to start which she barely ate as it was dripping in garlic and was barely...edible. Our meals were ok. Maybe it was an ‘off day’. The venue was empty and very quiet. Service was fine. Overall, not a place we would go back to unfortunately.More
The menu is not really vegetarian/vegan friendly and they do not seem to be able to make slight alterations on some of the dishes they offer. I decided to go for a pizza - (easy to customise) it was good. The service was A+ our...waitress was attentive and witty. She was very friendly and took my dietry requests seriously (she probably laughed in the back but I mean who wouldn't, the combination of my food allergies plus food I choose not to eat leaves me with a ridiculously complicated ordeal when eating out). My partner had the lasagna, it looked so small, we both thought he would definitely be digging into my pizza afterwards but surprisingly it fulled him up - he was almost struggling to finish. It smelt amazing and he confirmed that it was. I then had leftover pizza to take on my hike the next day. As always pizza tastes so yummy as breakfast.More
We were told by locals they serve great pizzas here. But we wanted something more as not had lunch on that Sunday. Trinchado was real winner - at least for a person eating that first time ever. Also beef shawarma was very good. Enjoyable service...and we liked the view to kitchen, too.More
Thank you so much hope you will do this trip again! Charmain Manager
Great pizzas!! Decent toppings and tin base for a very good price. Has a fireplace for a cold day...very common in the town.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed. Always waiting for your next visit. Charmain Caffe Villa
We had a quick lunch here and it was fantastic. The service was quick and the food was delicious, fresh and within budget. My husband is still raving about the chicken mayo toasted sandwich and we loved the cheesecake.
Totally enjoys these pizzas and have been back a few times as we know we always get great pizza when visiting Haenertsburg.
A casual eating spot that offers good food in a relaxing environment. We had pizzas and soup which was tasty and served with a smile. The owner is around and makes sure that service is prompt and efficient. Great for a quick bite.
In the small quaint town of Haenertsburg we stopped here for a really great breakfast. Sat huddled around the fire 🔥 as it was an awfully cold morning. Staff were friendly and helpful especially as I hate choosing what to eat. Their recommendations were spot...on. Their great coffees kept coming and before we knew it it was early afternoon and we were ordering super pizzas, gluiwein and later headed home. ☕️🍷🍕More
Caffe Villa is under excellent, friendly new management and is even better. The food is always tasty and portions are generous with something to suit everyone. They have a large deck and play area for children and are very obliging. Excellent for take-always too.
Best pizza in SA! Always make sure to visit when in the area. Lamb shank was also better than any we’ve had anywhere in Jhb!
