Fiamma Grill specialises in quality grade cuts of matured meat and carefully selected seafood dishes. We are an Italian Grill House catering for families, functions, and romantic occasions. Our menu ranges from pizza & pasta to delicious seafood grill’s and hand selected cuts of grain fed beef. All our meals are prepared from fresh and should one wish to add or exclude anything in their meal, it is easily accommodated.Fiamma Grill is situated in a boutique hotel that offers an unique dining experience focused on service, ambience and style.Due to us being a family run restaurant, one can see the enjoyment we get from the close interaction with our guests and the overall experience of “food”. The philosophy behind the restaurant is “to be closely related to our patrons, offer a warm friendly service, and care for the local community”.

We arrived at about 1pm and not another customer. Had second thoughts about eating here but it soon filled up and became very busy. Service was very good, food a little pricey but tasty and the beers were cold. Venue is clean and nice and 1 block from the nearest beach but the sea is just about visible.

Reasonably priced, very tasty and a friendly environment

The food was great, served pretty quickly and it’s very reasonably priced, the waitress was lovely and we enjoyed her serving us so much we left a higher than usual tip for us. We had a great time until we left and were harassed by the car “guard” who started having a whining session when I didn’t have a tip for him (I don’t carry any cash). Other than that, it was a really enjoyable evening!

Friendly Staff and Good Fare

Ballito really falls over itself with exceptional eateries, so I gave this one only four stars simply because I saved 5 stars for my favourites. This is a great place for a night out, as always the staff were friendly and helpful, and if you are from the UK your value for money is huge! A very nice menu and the South African lagers and wines are stand out. Fiamma Grill has a disco vibe with good music and a glowing blue swimming pool in the centre!

Having been a patron of this restaurant for many years, I am happy to say that the overall quality of the dining experience has remained constant. The menu has a fair variety of options to choose from and caters for a wide range of palates and dietary needs. Whilst it may seem expensive at a glance, the pricing is appropriate for a restaurant of this caliber and delivers well in terms of taste and portion size. Efficient turn around time from the kitchen as well. Xolani is a gentleman and an attentive waitron. Excellent service delivery from both him and the manager on duty. Fiamma grill is set in easily accessible location, independent from other dining conglomerates in the Ballito area. Its' setting is picturesque and well-maintained. It remains one of the foremost fine-dining restaurants in this region.

Different type of venue.

The pool area is great to enjoy a beer and listen to music provided by the D.J. The food in the restaurant is excellent from a cooking point of view. However the presentation of the beef medallions which I had, lacked any visual impact,especially when served on a dark coloured plate. However this wont stop me visiting again.

Solid Italian food by the poolside

We went to Fiamma on a Tuesday night for a birthday dinner while visiting Ballito. We made a reservation for an outdoor table by the poolside but the place wasn't overly busy. The service is quite good and the manager regularly checked in to make sure that we were happy. We shared the oven-baked mushroom starter and liked it (but wish it had come with more - and better bread to soak up the sauce. The bread they served looked like normal sandwich bread without the crust). I had the butternut ravioli in a gorgonzola cream sauce. It was a good portion and very flavorful. My son had pasta and pizza because he couldn't decide between the two and liked them both - the pizza a bit more so than the pasta. My husband had a pasta with seafood which was a little on the bland side. When we told the waiter that he had accidentally cleared away my son's milkshake before he was finished, the waiter brought him another one. And when we told the waiter that it was my husband's birthday, he came out with a complimentary serving of tiramisu complete with a sparkler! It was really tasty and a wonderful way to celebrate. Fiamma is at the top of the list of restaurants in Ballito and seems to be working hard to continue to please.

The food is overall very good. The calamari pland prawn is quite garlic infused which is not bad if you like garlic. The seafood is a bit on the higher price range. Pizza is not bad. More for the younger people as especially outside is more noisy and lively

Amazing.

We are very impressed with this restaurant and staff. The venue is beautiful and classy. Either a casual or a fine dining evening can be experienced. The menu is diverse and is accommodating to dietary requirements (vegan and vegetarian options) and is decently priced. Parking needs a bit of work though, as there is no specific parking lot, we had to park on the sidewalk.

Appalling management.

We were celebrating my birthday. It is a special occasion however the way the night unfolded was not special at all. We ordered drinks which took about 30mins to come. When it did come the waiter dropped the drinks on one of the guys at our table. Another waiter then took over to serve us because maybe our first waiter was still learning. While at La Fiamma Grill we spent about 2 and half hours there. The manager went to every table around us to check in on their experience but conveniently left our table out. We got the bill and they didn't even take off the price of the drinks to say sorry for spilling the drinks on you. We paid the full bill and while settling we told our waiter we weren't happy with the level of service. She then proceeded to tell the manager that we weren't happy. He then turned back to look at us then just turned his head away and didn't even bother to come to us to apologize. I must state this one thing, we didn't come there and spend R300. Our bill came to R1443. My money is just as good as anyone other customers money so by being discriminated against was appalling. To be a manager and not have the decency to personally apologize to a paying customer just shows how much you value customers. This was not my first time coming to this restaurant, I live all the way in the south coast but made the trip here again because my previous experience was good. The manager on duty today was full of himself. Even after being directly told that the customer is not happy the manager refused to attend to us. Personally I want this manager to phone each of us that was at the restaurant today to explain why he couldn't apologize for his staff. So for not taking the time to resolve an issue, I expect La Fiamma Grill Ballito to pay the laundry bill for cleaning the clothes that was messed by your staff. If I could give them 0 stars I would. This manager needs to explain himself

Terrible food

I had the fish as did three of the 5 people. The fish was tasteless, very dry and even adding the lemon butter sauce did not improve the taste. I will never go back to this restaurant and not sure why people give it such a great rating. Will never go back.

The prices at this restaurant are above the normal prices and although we made use of a delivery service, our meals arrived still hot. Was disappointed with the Gambino pizza. For the price we paid it did meet our expectations. The same can be said of the Lasagne di carne. The pasta Eli was great and can be recommended.

What about some management showing up

I have commended this establishment before and I will do so again. The food is exceptional but it is expensive and not really competitively priced. We found that we had to move table to get away for the noisy bar which seems to have a coffee machine which generates a noisy interlude to your enjoyment. Alas we moved closer to the sushi bar to find staff loudly engaging in conversation. and there was not a manager to be seen

Hands down one of my favorite spots in Ballito

I have been here numerous times for varied reasons and know, that no matter the weather or time of day, I will have a fantastic time. From romantic dinners, to birthday celebrations and vibey Sunday sessions, Fiamma caters for it all. The Pizza's are undoubtably one of the best, cocktails are delicious and service is top notch! The layout is fantastic! Catering both for a more elegant meal or party crowed all at the same time. Thank you all! The staff are magical and always one step ahead.

Birthday Lunch

We booked lunch for my birthday and was satisfied with the service and the meal, we will consider it again in the future. They gave me free dessert as birthday special treatment - nice gesture! Poolside table was very noisy and water splashing around not ideal for a special lunch and we asked to move inside which was pleasant, they should indicate that poolside tables are informal. The description of seaview is deceiving as there are other buildings in front and depending where you sit you can have a glimpse of the sea.

Best fillet so far

After a quiet drink in the lobbybar, we entered the restaurant. We -an elder couple- found it extremely noisy but luckily we were seated on the veranda. Not only the size of the beef fillet (much more than announced on the menu) was special, but so was the quality: very tender and very tasty.
