Lovely family friendly gem set on the beach front in Ballito with wonderful views of the sea. The Italian inspired menu has something for everyone with a great sea food selection and the most delicious prawns and sea food platters. The owner Trevor made us all feel welcome and was the perfect host for our little group. The pricing is fair with a mini seafood platter priced at around R200 and the grilled prawns at around R220. The only draw back to this wonderful place is it’s set upstairs overlooking the beach making it difficult to access for those with mobility issues. If not for this it would have been a 5 star experience.

Our meal, especially the starter mussels and our shared seafood platter, was delicious and definitely fairly priced. But what we'll always remember is management's helpfulness. When our taxi didn't appear and couldn't be located,
the manager had a staff member drive us to our B and B. Certainly above and beyond the call of duty!

Immediately Trevor made us feel at home and made sure we were seated at a good table with a great view of the beach and ocean. Our waitress was very friendly, knew the menu well and service was great. We shared the sea-food plater for two which was a great choice. Had a little of everything on the plate and was really fresh, well cooked, well prepared and presented. Wine was kept cool, and everything was perfect. Well done - good job.

We love South Africa and especially the good food and great service. We were recommended the place here in Ballito . On our first visit on Friday it was already announced at 8.45 pm that the kitchen was closed. That's why we reserved a table for 5 people on Saturday. The staff was very nice. The food was good but unfortunately not anymore. But what was not possible was the fact that the boss personally asked us to leave the restaurant at 9.45 pm last, arguing that his staff wanted to go home. Like I said Saturday night. We were 3 adult women , a man and a child. So normal guests with a turnover like in Germany. Even with us, you don't get thrown out. Hospitality means something else. That's why only 2 stars. It's a shame.

Great restaurant, great food and great staff. The food is so delicious and you don’t need to wait at all, they will bring it in a while, even it’s busy. The staff…amazing,nice and careful with all of the visitors! There is a beautiful view to the sea. By the way ask for Delly , she is the nicest waitress that we met during our trip trough RSA (in my opinion). She was incredibly polite, nice and smiley. We loved her!

Well quality stands the test of time. Trevor Wolf has been in business since 1989 and a well respected member of the community. I traveled to Italy to fish and sample the cuisine but to tell you the truth I couldn't wait to get back to Trevs for his durbs pizza and beer. I might seem biased but I highly rate the special service and quality of food that the AL pescatore team dishes out. In short if you in ballito you gotta go there.

One of the best restaurants in Ballito and worth more than one visit - we went there on four occasions - twice for lunch and twice for dinner. The seafood was splendid and the service excellent. The Ocean views was magnificent and the Ocean breeze quite refreshing on a hot day!

We once again went for lunch at this restaurant with some friends from the UK. It was a Monday and still quite busy. Sat on their lovely veranda which is now roofed and had wonderful views of the sea, and a extra special show put on by the Dolphins which was an added extra for our friends. The ladies had the salmon and chicken specials which they both declared as being lovely. Myself and our friends husband had steak. He had the fillet 250grm and I had the rump 300grm. His fillet seemed good, as I heard no complaints from him. My rump was ordered medium to rare, was dry and slightly over cooked. Made palatable with the monkey gland sauce which was a shame. Vegetables and chips were the sides which could have been in greater quantity but otherwise well presented. Our steaks were average and had nothing really good to shout about. The major concern for me was my plate and food smelled of fish indicating that either the plate had not been cleaned properly from previous use, or fish implements were used to plate up my food. We all finished off with a wonderful plate of desserts which were to die for.
Service from the staff was first class and the waiters knowledge of the specials was top class.

Oh my goodness is all I can say! WOW the view, WOW the food, WOW the vibe, WOW the service! No other spot in Ballito can compare! Durban pizza is a MUST, Camembert pastry special (OMG), ribs, calamari - you name it - you will not be disappointed! Incredible Desert tray - you can see what you will get when ordering! MUST visit!

We visited al pescatore Saturday 20 Feb for dinner after having made an oral reservation on Friday on the premises. On arrival the owner advised the staff to give us a table at the rear outside (not towards the sea) even so there were tables with nicer view.
We are two older Swiss men from Cape Town and not expecting attention but correct behavior.
Unfortunately the owner did exactly not do this.
He passed our table several times, attending the other tables but ignoring us. That would have been no problem, but when we left we passed him at the exit. Looking at us without any word of thanks.
The staff so was very friendly and well trained. The food was excellent. Unfortunately the behavior of Mr Wolf left a sour memory to our visit.

This is a lovely restaurant right on the seafront at Ballito situated upstairs with a great view of the ocean. The owner and staff were helpful and friendly and the service was quick. Make sure you ask about the ‘specials’. We visited twice eating seafood both times which was fresh, imaginatively presented and delicious. This is a great place to eat.

We ate here twice when staying locally. Great pizza and there roquefort mayo salad was delicious. The seafood pasta was a winner and cocktails well made. The setting is lovely, being outdoors and looking over the Indian ocean on a sunny evening with great service makes this place an absolute must do.

We just had dinner at this amazing spot.
We ordered Kingklip and Alfredo Pasta.
The kingklip was prepared to perfection.
And the restaurant had no power was running by generators.
Yet the quality of food was excellent.
Kids had the pasta, and had a feast.
Everything from food to view was exceptional.
Highly,highly recommend.

A definite Ballito favorite... the perfect place to park your car, have a drink, enjoy a delicious meal & then go for a walk on the beach before leaving.
My mom & I really enjoyed this spot. The cocktails were great, enjoyed with the perfect ocean view. The food was amazing & quite large portions - worth every penny.

Went to this restaurant after reading it was rated third best in the locality. It did not disappoint. Was a bit surprised when I ordered the chicken and spinach pie to be told there would be a wait of 45 minutes as it was made on the premises from scratch to order. However we were in no hurry so ordered some nibbles as light starters. But when the mains came we were again reminded of the size of South African portions! Well worth the wait. Both my wife’s chicken burger and my pie were enough for two. But that does not take anything away from the quality. The chicken fillet in the burger was excellent and the pie - or rather what we Brits call a pasty ( pastry parcel) - was likewise. Service was good and the bill moderate. My only regret was that driving prevented me from sampling the contents of the massive Castle draft beer tank on show!

We do not serve Pies and Burgers , being an Italian Restaurant , we focus on creating Mediterranean style Dishes with a unique twist in them .
