I wish we stopped here earlier. I am a coffee snob and this place's coffee is GOOD! The baked goods are also epic!

Great coffee and divine cheese cake. The batista knew his trade and we enjoyed Americans. It was rainy but the atmosphere cozy and the coffee smelt great.

While vervet monkeys destroy weaver nests and yellow bill ducks remind you of their need for things human you are lulled into a world of great service good fair and better koffie, all this 200 meters from the N2 highway, but then this is the garden route after all. A must for a relaxed break from travel. Surrounded by restaurants, playparks art collections and a Nava clothing shop you will want to spend more than just koffie time.

We have been going to Pause Coffee Roastery at Timberlake Village on and off for the past 3 years now. Rarely are we happy with the food and/or service. On our last visit, once again, the food lacked flavour. The wrap fillings were mostly just leaves and VERY LITTLE substance, nevermind flavour. At R90 a pop one would expect quality - but it seems it's about maximum profit. This seems to be normal as it's happened before and we did complain. The pizza also lacked flavour and was so bland that we're now finally completely put off from this establishment. From now on we will only support restaurants who make a real effort to provide quality, flavour and value for money. Most people after a disappointing experience choose to say nothing and just never go back. I feel that it needs to be said and this platform is powerful enough to force restauranteers to pay attention.

Our visit was pleasant, the atmosphere cozy and coffee great! The only complaint we had was that the apple pie slices were very small for R46 per slice. They should be R35 at most for that size. The slices we got was about half the size of what we normally get in the Garden Route. Other than that, we had a good time.

We decided to try this place as we had seen it from the road and was close to kids play area. We had to seat ourselves as there was no waiter in sight. I then tried to find a menu as I wasn’t sure if it was a self service menu. On the way inside there was another customer complaining about service and that should have been the first clue. Eventually someone came to help us and we ordered drinks. They took very long and there were only 4 other tables occupied. Coffee was burnt and lukewarm when it arrived about 20 min after ordering. We placed our food order before drinks arrived. Then the waiting began. The manager came to ask if we were ok and told him about coffee and he gave some excuse that wasn’t very plausible. Meanwhile no waiters in sight outside for most of the time, so not sure where they go? Eventually food arrived after about 40min which I would understand if it was busy, but 4 tables in winter?
Food was actually pretty good and very tasty and that’s the only reason I’m not giving 1 star. We finished our food and waited but still no waiter eventually having to go inside and ask for the bill myself from someone else, who then brought it. There were no waiters inside either. Manager not to be found either? A restaurant needs tasty food and good service so go here if you only need the first...

We've been here a few times and the coffee has always been great. However, twice we've arrived at 9am wanting to get a coffee when the cafe is supposed to be open, however the place is still in disarray, being cleaned, the coffee machine not even switched on yet. We aren't able to enter yet and the staff are not able to tell us when we can get a coffee. If a place says it's open at 9am it should be running at 9am and staff should arrive well in advance to make sure about this.

My wife and I both agree that the cofee blend that the Pause baristas made is the best we have had in the region while traveling over the last few weeks.
The selection of cakes and food on the menu us impressive too. The carrot cake, my usual choice, was wonderful. Not too sweet, right amount of moisture and great taste.
A gem in the Timberlake organic village.

Arrived at 8:45am,to be told the coffee shop opens at 9.Fair enough, there are opening hours, but my wife was told in a tone that wasn't welcoming or encouraging us to wait until 9.We have tried this place in the past, but the service has always been poor (slow) and this is just for a cup of takeaway coffee (and we bring our own cups). We're done and won't be coming again.
We took a detour into George and got our coffee at ROOT Coffee Roasters. They were friendly and welcoming and the coffee was great. If you're in the service industry,it helps to be friendly and efficient. Serve us quickly and we might have to buy a second cup of coffee.

On New Year’s day we scouted the whole Wilderness area for a late lunch but with no luck, every restaurant was closed except Timberlake Organic Village towards Sedgefield where Pause Coffee Roastery is situated. It was extremely busy, and if we had been there an hour earlier I guess we wouldnt have been able to get a seat. Our waiter Brian greeted us friendly and said from the start that there was a 30min waiting period and that their pizza oven had just broken. We prepared ourselves for a lengthy wait but was pleasantly surprised when our delicious food and drinks promptly arrived. The bobotie tramezzini, lamb pie, Mediterranean quiche and minty Lamb wrap were all fresh and flavorsome. Lovely freshly squeezed juices and of course proper coffee and cakes to top off our meal. On such a challenging day they did great and I will definitely support them again.

Popped into the village as it was our first time there. Pause was busy and everything looked scrumptious. There was a sign up stating that they are very busy and that there will be a delay on serving food. We were immediately helped by one of the staff, she explained all the bakes and we ordered immediately. Not a long wait and we received our order. Was excellent and the people around us all enjoyed their meals too. Will highly recommend this venue
