My husband and I took our young visitors, including a four year old and a six year old, to The Girls for cooldrinks and a light lunch recently. Plenty of parking, outdoor and indoor seating available, suitable for wheelchairs and pet friendly. The best part...of our experience was the way the children were treated. The staff went out of their way to be kind and patient with them, and the snack that was served for the children (french toast) was delicious. Our own meals were also excellent - we recommend the strawberry smoothie. There is a small play area for the children. It was lovely to be able to take our family for a meal without being on our nerves the whole time in case the littlies irritated anyone. A very enjoyable lunch in a relaxed atmosphere at decent prices.More

The food was great and the best for us was the service, it was excellent. We loved the chicken curry and ate it two nights in a row. I also loved the Sushi, it was a nice generous portion.

Had a lovely tapas and cocktail lunch! All the food was really tasty and of high quality. My favorite was the salt and pepper calamari. The garlic bread was the best we’ve ever had. Lovely service from Devon! We ll be back when passing through...again.More

Excellent lunch today at The Girls. I'm here from Cape Town for a few days' break and my AirbnB host gave me the recommendation. I've got my labrador with me so the dog-friendly outdoor area was pefect, especially on such a hot day. As a...taster I had three medium oysters to start - delicious and with an interesting extra I've never come across before in many years of oyster-eating, namely finely chopped red onion which went really well with the oysters drizzled with squeezed lemon and a couple of drops of Tabasco. I was told they would prefer using shallots, but I know these are very difficult to get (I find them very occasionally at Woolies - they are much sweeter and not as strong as onions). Main course was an excellent mango prawn curry with rice, poppadum and sambals - a very generous portion, with many more prawns (peeled and tails removed) than one is normally given, and at a very reasonable price. Wine list is extensive and by the glass a full 250ml carafe (one of my pet gripes - here in SA one never knows how much one is getting when ordering by the glass). Service efficient, quick and very friendly without being overbearing. The Girls may not be city fine-dining, but that's how I like restaurants - unpretentious, just excellent food and a few extra touches here and there. Well done!More

We enjoyed a seriously DELICIOUS meal at the Girls in the Wilderness. Hugo and Judith were superb! I will definitely eat there again when visiting the Garden Route. The ambiance and setting is lovely and the waiter & waitresses do not make you feel "rushed"....Corkage only R35. We had a wonderful evening - THANK YOU!More

The restaurant was recommended to us by our accommodation and it lived up to the reviews. The staff and service were top notch and personable, with Devon particularly standing out. We’ll definitely return when next in Wilderness.

Garlic bread 2 DIE FOR!, enjoyed the trinchado (would’ve loved more chili, but easily remedied, just request some on the side), the spanakopita - lovely, snoek fish cakes, yum , I didn’t enjoy the satay, however my partner did (again chili was amiss) calamari was...goodMore
