Good service food was good and tasty. The fish mains and sushi starters were excellent and my son enjoyed his milkshake for dessert. Lovely venue and family friendly atmosphere. Perfect for summer nights...

Was initially put off by the one review which I'm glad I didn't go by it.
Wasn't easy to find but then I realised I'd come here to this spot before-its just that its on the first floor but a great spot to view Umhlanga.
A new brand but it seems that they're old hands at this and we were certainly wowed over by their menu, especially beef sushi and the black activated sushi which I've not seen in Durban.
Cocktails were on another level and really fascinating to look at and went down well!
We tried the flame grilled chicken which was done to perfection and the meat succulent.
The medium rare rump as we ordered was impressive given that they seem to specialise in seafood and sushi and we ordered the rack of lamb which was great.
Their huge big deal seafood platter with added crayfish was excellent and we're sure to come back again.
They had a big group which was celebrating an event but we liked how they did the covid spacing and protocols so we were comfortable.
Seems they don't have much reviews on this as they're 'new' but seems this place is going to really do well in the Umhlanga fraternity.
So when they asked us to be frank about giving them a write up we were only too willing to do so as we really enjoyed this place.
Highly recommend them

Great place and good amount of variety. We were all happy with our choices that included seafood and meat dishes. Pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes, food was fresh, good value for money and tasty. Will definitely be visiting here again!

This restaurant made us wait for 2 hrs for sushi!! And in 1hr he we got 1 plate with 20% of the sushi we orded, we never saw the remaining 80%.
After 2 hrs of wait we asked for the bill and they still tried to stall, the waiters ignoring us so the sushi can be done. After so much argument we got our bill and they had the audacity to charge us for the little we had.
After this experience I will never put my hard earned money in this establishment and I suggest you do the same!

I went there on the 30th December 2021. The service from the waiter was great but the food was old. We wanted to give it away but got scared as we got sick with the food. The sad part is that the QBNS people looked like they didnt care. I spoke to the manager he apologised but was defensive and called the cook who was very angry at me telling her about the food being old and old chips being refried. This is the first and last time I will ever go there. Be careful as the food especially fish that is old and Haloumi and Mushrooms yuck. Even the prawns tasted funny.
My kids bought fish and was feeling nauseous, we took it as take away and had to throw it away as it made all of us sick.

Been here at this location, before when it was another brand.
I must say I was impressed with their change. Service was excellent as I experienced on my previous visits by same waiters.
They've added an innovative touch to their menu by catering to all diners especially with the plant based vegetarian burger that a veg eater in our group had.
Their seafood is as tasty as before but fresher it seems and I loved the live oyster tank-now I know I am getting fresh oysters for sure.
Our group tried the rack of lamb which was flame grilled and really good! We were impressed with their steak dish given they weren't a steakhouse before.
Really enjoyed their new sushi menu items. Tuna Avalanche dish was amazing!!
Health and safety compliance was in order with socially distancing and really appreciated the sanitisers on tables. We were here for a couple of hours sat outside and inside- from early afternoon into the evening and even though not so busy had a constant flow of patrons so am sure they will do fine with their new venture.
Highly recommend them! Keep it up guys in this tough environment-you will do well with your new ideas.

After a tiring day we had a lovely dinner here. It was quick and the food was fresh and tasty. We were attended to all the time and the owner had a nice chat with us being really interested in his patrons as well as their likes and dislikes which makes for an improved restaurant experience all the time. Thank you Kuban!

The maze toget to the restaurant was worthwhile and so much more. My first visit out in the pandemic.. I love seafood.. and the meal was delicious and presented with so much class and pleasantry. And the personnal touch from the owner was fantastic. Will definitely be revisiting.

Thanks to wonderful service received. The staff was very friendly, courteous and efficient. The food was exemplorary. Best sea food that I eat in Durban so far. The owner was absolutely hands on and always checking on patrons. Definitely going there again.

My boyfriend proposed to me at this restaurant. The Service delivery was excellent & the seafood platter was amazingly delicious. The setup was beautiful, just the way my boyfriend had planned with the Manageress. It created a very romantic atmosphere. A beautiful selection of music was played as well. A special thanks to the Manageress & her team for assisting in making it a memorable day for us.

Not much to look at from the outside, but it's like finding a diamond once inside. The staff are excellent, especially the waiter, and the fish is to die for. Between 3 of us we had 2 x Salmon and 1 x fillet Kingklip, excellent, excellent, excellent. The sides portion filled the remainder of the large plate. They really know how to look after their customers.
Will definitely go there again and again and again.

I read the reviews and this place sounded great for sushi and seafood. Unfortunately our sushi was terrible and no comparison to some other establishments in the area. The service was good, but rather slow to get the 2 drinks we ordered. Sadly I would not return nor recommend to anyone.
