We were here the last time for the steak and it was so good we had to come back. This time the schnitzel which was both juicy and crunchy and the burger with jalapeños and mozzarella won us over.

Hidden gem with amazing steaks

This great restaurant serves the most amazing steaks. Can recommend the jalapeño steak wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese and jalapeños. Cooked to perfection and high quality meat. Service was excellent too. When you enter the building don’t be put off by the gym at...the front, the restaurant is tastefully done out once you get inside.More

Like stepping back in time!

Went there for supper - all a little "yea olde colonial days", but lovely e.g. classical or orchestral music playing. Food and service were good. Worth a visit.

Best steaks in Zululand!

Rivermill Restaurant is a hidden gem when it comes to great value and best steaks! The staff are friendly and the service is efficient.

Excellent meat

The building has different purposes, including a gym and bar. The restaurant is in a cosy decorated and has one of the best steak I have tasted in years!

Always can recommend with confidence

This is my regular restaurant and to date Lynn has always come up to my expectations.Its a venue one can choose for a function or just to entertain a few friends with absolute confidence.The steaks are always perfect,the sauces wheatfree and delicious.Evrything on the menu...is good.Lynn's attention to detail is impressive.This restaurant should be rated more highly in KZN!More

The best steak for many a year!!

This restaurant is rather hidden away in the local country club. Do not be put off by this. Once you get past the entrance ( a rather non descript 60s style building) you will find yourself in a cosy room with neatly laid tables and...a good mix of dishes on offer. My steak was one of the best I can remember. The pasta also excellent. The desserts both wonderful. Quiet unassuming but efficient staff look after you. This is not swanky dining but the food is of a quality way beyond what you might expect. A meal for 2 with a glass of wine came to a total of £20 .....amazing value! Sadly my visit did not allow time to call for a second time - but would love to be able to further explore this menu and the skills of a very good chef!More

Fine food off the beaten track

Our B&B did not do dinner on Sunday evenings and the restaurant at the Umfolozi Country Club was recommended - Rivermill. The decoration was elegant, the staff were extremely professional and friendly, and the food both in choice and quality exceptionally good. It was a...tad difficult to find, even with instructions, but worth it.More
