We visited this pub twice during our stay in Margate, the food and service were excellent and is definitely worth a visit, they also have a good variety of cocktail, the last on the menu being Shwabadaba and is the tastiest we have experienced.

It was nice to see the "old" concept of the Keg franchise. Beer and food was excellent. Ambiance not as good maybe because we were there outside peak season.

Keg a place to visit when in Margate. LadyFair was amazing and always wore a smile on her face. The cornwall chicken is a must try. Didn't enjoy the popcorn chicken strips though. Go early cause it gets rowdy and smoky and full

The food and service at the Keg & Galleon is awesome. Their pies are the best ever but all their food is good. I have yet to have a meal I did not enjoy. Will definitely be back next time I am in or around...Margate.More

Great restaurant to chill and unwind. Not recommended for kids though as some people were smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages. Great menu and great food. We enjoyed our meal

If you're travelling and want a decent meal, this is a good stopover, but get there early. Fortunately, we arranged to meet at 6:30. By the time we left at 8, it was more of a bar than a restaurant and we were happy to...leave. Still, the food and service were good.More

Good Keg as Keg's go, menu is the same reliable one, drinks as good as they can be, nicely situated, parking is an issue so walking is better, not the best area to be out late in season though.

We drove up and down the Hibiscus coast on a Sunday afternoon trying to find a restaurant with a reasonable setting and good food. Most were closed. Others, well, did not quite seem 'right'. We eventually stopped at the Keg in Margate Hotel. It has...always been one of our favourites through the years. It again did not disappoint. My wife had the lamb pot pie, I had the new bunny chow. The chef actually accomodated me by making the curry very mild. Bottom line, I need to add the Keg and Galleon to my review list as the food is always very good and well prepared with generous helpings, the menu is comprehensive and the prices are 'right'. In my opinion, one of the top restaurants on the hibiscus coast that finds the right balance between quality, affordability, and especially not being ripped off. The setting and ambiance is the only reason for not giving a 5/5, but one needs to realise it is after all a pub-restaurant.More
