There were 3 couples for dinner, service was good and drinks were good . The pizzas were just smothered in far too much cheese and they were stodgy, pizzas are Italian and it would make sense to perhaps adopt a similar way of cooking them...so we can enjoy the flavors of the toppings , all you can taste is the cheese.More

We visited Ngweni Railroad Brewery with our tour group after a day at Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. We were excited to grab a bite and tasting of South African beers, but were really disappointed when we found out that none of the flights of beer were available...because Ngweni literally had two types of Jack Black on hand, and that WAS IT. We made the best of it and drank what was available. The game lodge we stayed at actually offers a brewery outing as an extra side trip for a fee. I'm glad our Ranger took us here at no extra charge after our visit to the park because it would have been even more disappointing to visit a brewery that literally had the bare minimum available.More

Good beer and good range of nice food options. Friendly place with nice atmosphere. We all liked it very much. A good option for eating & drinking in Hluhluwe.

Currently staying in St Lucia but travelled up to Hluhluwe for the brewery. Lovely range of craft beers. The Rooibos Cider was fantastic. Service friendly and efficient. Food certainly worth the drive 😍

Nice place. Good menu. Had to call for the waiter serving us all the time. Not all craft beers available for tasting. Some craft beers on tap not available. Disappointed.

We just love this restaurant. It may not be the biggest or the most comprehensive menu, man but do you feel happy as you enter the property. It’s clean, tidy, lovely garden, lovely place for children to play, a super curio shop, and then that...beautiful brewery. We popped in on Mother’s Day for lunch…a party of four. We wanted to be seated on the veranda next to the brewery. We arrived early, and within an hour, 90% of the tables were occupied. It’s so good to see such happy customers enjoying their visit. We ordered some Kraft beer they brew…delicious! We ordered a large Focaccia to share as a starter. Delicious…I can highly recommend this. For mains, three of us ordered prawns and calamari, and one prawns and grilled fish. We waited for about 30 minutes for our food to arrive. It was delicious. I can highly recommend a visit to this outstanding restaurant. To compliment your experience, the staff are very friendly and on the ball.More

We took a day trip from Richards Bay to visit the False Bay area, with a visit to this restaurant for lunch. What pleasant surprise to find this lovely restaurant/brewery hidden in the lush vegetation of Zululand. The friendly staff was ready to welcome the...four of us, and seated us outside, right next to the brewery (at our request). First on our minds was to sample four of their Kraft beers. The four beers were each served in a 90ml glass. Delicious, but they tasted very “different”. With it goes each person’s expert opinion. Time for food and we ordered Focaccia bread and Jalapeño cheese rissoles for starters. For mains we ordered Prawns and Calamari, and a Crunchy Asian Slaw. It was not long, and we tucked into our lunch. The portions were generous. The Prawns and Calamari came served with crispy onion rings, chips, rice and a lemon butter. The Crunchy Asian was a generous portion and delicious. The three of us that had the prawns could not finish our food and were offered “doggie bags” The brewery is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. There is also a well stocked curio shop, immaculately layed out. Opposite the parking area is a lovely nursery, which we also explored. The grounds around the restaurant and brewery are well kept, and children will absolutely love it. We loved the vibe at this restaurant, and there were lots of people laughing and having fun. I can highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem.More
