The ambiance is smooth, jazzy, and classic. The service is wonderful, going that extra mile to be helpful. The food is just a mouthful of mouthwatering wholesome meals. I love how value-packed the meals are. This is definitely the part that will have you coming back for more!

Olive and oil runs like a well oiled engine. Efficient and knowledgeable waitering staff with non intrusive but interested managers too. The complimentary olives were delectable. Cajun calamari and Poseidon platter went down with alacrity. Creamy Gamberi pasta so tasty but rich and not suitable for diets! The only discomfort was the temperature- Durban’s hot and humid January commanded a better aircon. Phew.

This so good address in Umangha Rocks lost its soul when moving and became a noisy food factory.
The dishes were however very good, but we waited more than 40 minutes between the order and their arrival.

Visited this establishment for lunch. I had their lunch special. Food was just okay. The creme brulee I ordered was cold. I had the peri peri livers which was average. Service was also just okay.

Well lets start with the good news,. The meal was delicious, so congratulations to the Chef..
Thereafter it was a disaster.. We waited one and a half hours to be served,, with numerous, excuse me's to the servers of the tables around us, who were definitely NOT going to help us. Had to repeatedly ask for the menu just to make our decisions on the food. I had to get really annoyed before anyone took any notice. Then eventually one of the servers acknowledged us. Relief - but NO so curt and no plus - what do you want, we need to know now - , starter - which was set - mains and pudding. Okay that out of the way and we wait some more. Starter eventually comes. By this stage the restaurant was staring to empty a bit - so you can tell how long we waited. The mains arrived about 30 minutes later. We ask if the complimentary Champagne is coming - Nope - WE HAVE RUN OUT - My question is how can you run out of champagne on Christmas day - when you know the numbers and by the way Champagne keeps.Then we get to pudding - WE HAVE RUN OUT OF PAVLOVA. This is also unbelievable - pavlova is not difficult to make and can be carried over and use in the future.. It is a desert that is very easy to assemble quickly. Coffee or tea and mince pies - oops NO MORE MINCE PIES LEFT.. To add insult to injury we were informed my the "manager" that a server was not assigned to our table, that is why we were never served.. Well really is that NOT THE MANAGERS JOB. Olive and Oil - you need to up your game!!! There were two managers who were NOT doing their job. They need to be trained properly in the duties of a manager..
By the way I have been offered a Free lunch - which I declined - It is not about wanting things for free. All your dinners are looking for is a pleasant, stress free experience and to enjoy a Merry Christmas..

After numerous fine meals at this local restaurant, I was so disappointed to find that they completely missed it today. A small family group of us went for a light lunch and to watch the grand-kids have a bit of fun. Ordered 2 very easy light meals, a few drinks and a milkshake for the 3 year old. After 25 mins the drinks arrived but how do you explain to a 3 year old that his milkshake isn't there. After waiters were asked 3 times for a high chair it arrived. Eventually a trip to the kitchen produced the milkshake after 40mins. The food arrived eventually 55 mins later - chicken souvlaki - 6 pieces of chicken (Ice cold) scattered around wilted lettuce leaves and 4 dollops of tzatziki with a 5 half cherry tomatoes and a few half slices of cucumber on a herb. It's supposed to be a cheap meal but not that cheap. Poor service, poor food quality - you dropped the ball today.

5 Grown ups and 5 children had a very pleasant experience . It was very user friendly and whist we ordered and enjoyed a drink the children had fun with the activities on the a joining grassy playing field.The quick service enabled all of us to really enjoy the good selection of food on offer

Olive & Oil Glenwood is a favourite of my family. We are never disappointed. Superb food mixed with incredible value. Service is great too.
The Avo, feta and Dijon steak is just wonderful. Chicken kebabs very tasty and kids meals are generous.
Don’t leave without sampling the Bar
One milkshakes which are heavenly and the perfect way to end a meal.
The only small gripe is they used to serve creamed spinach with some of the dishes but on this occasion we received kind of wilted, cooked spinach which wasn’t great. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing.
Love this place and will be back again soon

In my travels around South Africa, the best part is trying different restaurants. It was the choice of my friend who is a regular. The service was ok but not notable... I had fish and chips but would have got better at a fish and chip shop. There was an issue about getting tartar sauce and the 'batter' was soggy... I will have to convince my friend to go somewhere else next time...
