A pub atmosphere, small, TV screens all over. It was Bokke v Wales and a mouse would not find a seat. Roast of the day is what i had, being lamb with the trimmings plus a GIANT Yorkshire pud. A normal size would suffice. I must say, excellent value at r85. If you are looking for a Sunday roast, look no further than the Aviator. Oh, if you are a drinking man they do craft beer.

When you have to clear your own table and order your drinks from the bar, there is a big problem!! Shocking service with a manager who clearly doesn’t care!!

In the area and needed somewhere close for a quick supper and then back to B&B for work. It is your typical neighbourhood pub and the few that were there were obviously locals. I ordered a hamburger and I was the only one that was eating. It must have taken close to 30 minutes, even the waiter was embarrassed as he kept coming to tell me the food is almost ready on at least two occasions. The quality of the meal was good and the waiter tried to give good service but a big let down from the kitchen, would certainly not visit on a busy night.

Was there on Saturday with family for lunch, we had excellent service and the food was great, all at our table remarked on this as it was our 1st time being there. The prices were certainly good and they had Castle light on tap, I did not have to drink one of the 'Sweet Craft beers' at R6000 a pint well done to you guys we had a great time we will certainly be back.

My wife and I had lunch at The Taphouse on a Friday. Quiet but there were a few locals and it is obviously frequented by many locals. The menu is very affordable and we had their Pie of the Week. It was great value for money and was delicious. Good beer on tap as well. Well worth a visit.

The place has a good atmosphere and is a watering hole for many people who work in the nearby La Lucia Ridge Office Park. As a non-smoker siting on the outside tables, I found myself engulfed with cigarette smoke from all directions. There is very little breeze that comes through when sitting on the outside tables, so the smoke lingers. I attended the pub on a Friday evening, with a group work colleagues (all drinkers) and I was a non-drinker so ordered a milkshake instead. The milkshake size was less than impressive. Poor value for money. The platter snacks (Calamari/chicken) were OK. Probably won't visit this venue again on my own, mainly due to the smoke filled air.

Food and service is always acceptable, but the pub does not cater adequately for non smokers. The entire outside terrace/patio is designated as smoking area (illegal as it's covered and partially enclosed) and with large open doors into the pub and seated restaurant, it's impossible not to be overwhelmed with the smokers stench. Local laws stipulate no more than 25% of the floor area can be dedicated to a smoking section. Without actually measuring it out myself, I guess the smoking area vs non smoking area is 50/50 or thereabouts. But, as said, it may as well all be smoking, as the whole place falls so far short of the smoking regulations that wherever you sit, you leave stinking of smoke. Time to get the health department onto them for what it's worth.

We frequent this pub often to watch sport and enjoy the buzz while enjoying good grub. No real view, but the TV screens make up for that!

Good vibe & food. The waitress was mostly mia until time to pay. Three times the waitress tried to enter R 5000 on a R 500 bill. When it wouldnt go through, she informed loudly that I had no money in my account. While it maybe a mistake, I believe that it could have been an attempt to badger me into using another card, and receiving a R 4500 tip. There was no apology, neither was the manager to perturbed> Just proceed with caution as the venue is great and does get busy and slow.

This cosy pub serves great food at reasonable prices. The service from Management and staff is excellent and our waiter, Mfana, was cheerful, attentive and most helpful. This pub/restaurant is well known for its plated Sunday roast, and I was not disappointed. However Malva Pudding should be served hot, and we had to send ours back to the kitchen to be heated.

Old fashioned Sunday Roast Lunch. They offer roast lamb one week and then roast pork the next week. Both were very tasty and the pork crackling was crispy. The service was also good.

We had a delicious roast pork lunch on Sunday. Everything was just like we would have at grandmas house - crispy potatoes and crackling. Well done to the chef.

A great little pub tucked away out of sight. Have been both on quiet nights and rugby nights and have enjoyed it. The service does get a bit slower when busy but generally the staff are attentive and service is quick. The food is great with a nice variety of pub food and street food (and some healthier options) and they have a small but nice selection of craft beer. My favourite local pub
