Location in the Michelle Park gardens is great with plenty of shade and seating. The fish and chips at R95 were not to our expectations Average portion of fish was tasty enough but the chips were the normal fast food variety and there was no...attempt at any garnish. No alcohol free beer available.More

Called in for lunch while on a guided tour of Durban. Situated in Mitchell Park by Centenary Gate, this restaurant is a nice place to eat on a hot day with a cold drink. Recommended

A restaurant is only as good as its pesonnel. We were really blessed as Jomo, who has looked after us before, was wonderful to us in every way. We had the chicken burger special with cheese, tomato, avo and chips. It was absolutely delicious. Our...new year special included flying fish flavoured beer. It was our first exposure to this spicy beer. We'll definitely buy it again. We were partly in the blistering sun so Jomo very kindly brought another umbrella over to shield us. That was kind. We are senior citizens. I had helped a colleague's practice out earlier in the day and I had treated some very ill patients. So it was wonderful to be able to unwind in such a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere among the flowers, the children playing in the park, the birds twittering in the trees and experiencing the music in the restaurant. Kerbside parking above the park is also easily accessible and free. Blue Zoo restaurant at Mitchell park has always been fabulous for us. God bless you all and happy new year.More

Had a meeting here, which lasted about 4 hours and didn't feel hassled to order or leave...although it was at a very quiet time. I enjoyed a lamb curry which was tender and tasty. Will definitely be back...

One of our favorite places to go to with grandchildren. Food and service is excellent. Well worth a visit to the gardens and little zoo.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years and it's been a favorite to bring my grand-daughter since she was very young! I particularly enjoy breakfasts and early lunches. Today I popped in with my wife after church and we had another great experience. Our...waitron was above average and when I asked her whether she received a wage and tips or only tips she replied that she only takes home what she earns in tips! I will now ask this question everywhere I go and also ensure that I list the answers on Trip Advisor!More

Enjoyed a leisurely brunch. The halloumi, hummus and rocket wrap could have done with more hummus and rocket. A little dry , However it was delicious. The waffles are great. My friend ordered a tramezzini- the portion size was huge and we had to get...a take away. The tables and chairs could do with a bit of a wipe down especially due to it being outside seating. Overall a pleasant experience. Excellent for families with young kids!More

Definitely a lovely place for a light meal. Would highly recommend this Café. Has great ambience and the option to eat outside under the trees. Double thick Bar one milkshake was delicious. The Zoo itself isn't really worth much but would definitely go back just...eat at this charming Café.More
