Roadside parking. Neat outside and inside. We paid for our muutton bunnies and took our seats. No waiters. We collected our meal through a hatch. For chilli heat 5/10. Presentation acceptable on a polystyrene plate. Meat quality 8/10, taste 6/10. Disappointing experience overall.

Had the following over a span of a few days and rate it by far the best Indian food place I’ve been to. Mutton burger, mutton curry, tikka chicken and mutton bunnies

I visited this place with family and was not impressed at all. The food and service were pathetic. Management really needs to wake up. I ordered mutton curry and it tasted sour as if left in the fridge for a week. Will never go back...there again.More

While in the Durban area, we researched the best place to get bunny chow, and this restaurant came up again and again. Cane Cutters did not disappoint. It’s situated in a nice neighborhood, within walking distance to a large mall, and has a clean, open...interior and nice vibe. We both decided on the deluxe mutton — mutton with no bone and little fat content — for our dishes. My husband got the quarter bunny chow, and I ordered the curry with rotis. We both agreed our meals were superb. The mutton was tender and spicy, with just enough juice and potatoes. While we were both full afterwards, we also both wanted more and would have gone back had we had more time in Durban. The price, especially for such quality meat, was incredibly reasonable for the amount of food we received. We cannot recommend Cane Cutters highly enough. (And if you want even more proof that this is the best bunny chow, check out the awards on the tables!)More

This place has so much hype in which the experience was killed by bad service. Placed an order that never showed up and after 30 minutes I was told that my order was still not ready but looked like the order was not taken at...all. Such a great place, clean and reasonably priced but bad service. Will try it again when in the area againMore

Cane Cutters has always been one of Durban's top 5 eateries for bunny chow with their distinctive blend of spices. Being Muslim-owned they do not sell or allow alcohol on the premises. A bunny HAS to have a beer to down it!! Otherwise, this is...a good spot for a lunchMore

1/4 mutton bunny for 80 rand, just to relieve 3 pieces of bones. After speaking to the staff and complaining about it they said they would get back to me and did not even bother about us again.

I had ordered 3 broad beans bunny chows as a takeaway yesterday. It was horrible. Bread was stale , curry was tasteless. Wont order a bunny chow from them again.

The best bunnies we had in a long time. My husband and daughter had the butter chicken and I had the mutton curry. They did not skimp on the meat, the bread was fresh and the curries just right

My visit with friends for 1 of the most talked about bunnie chaws turned out to ok, but not what I expected. The curry was average to my liking. I guess everyone has their own opinion. Will give it a go again. Maybe it was...just one of those days. Friendly staff and nice set up.More

Unfortunately we won’t be coming back. Ordered a butter chicken which was more a normal curry (def not a tomato base which is how butter chicken should be!). I also and asked for spicy but the dish came in super mild. It was not a...bad flavor but I just expected something different. I was also told they can’t make it spicy which is rather unacceptable for an Indian place. The rice is not a not a traditional basmati but some rather unflavored cheaper version. Prices and service are good though.More
