As I was on a #ShotLeft with SA Tourism to the recently held #Indaba2017 in Durban, I made sure I had time to connect with one of my best friends from University. As she follows all my Gin exploits on Facebook she suggested we meet at Distillery 301 for dinner...on Monday night the 1st night of the tradeshow....big mistake ...they... More

Sublime Gin cocktails! A unique and trendy venue with very attentive and friendly staff. An interesting menu offering fusion food to tickle the taste-buds. Unfortunately both the items we wished to order were not available :( but none the less found something else to indulge in - although the cocktails were the clear winners for us on a Saturday afternoon!... The décor was interesting with a full distillery attached to the Restuarant! The drinks of home brewed lemonade and home distilled gin and tonic water take drinks to a whole new level! The burgers we enjoyed were simply brilliant and the flavours were superb! The service we received was exceptional and made the whole experience extremely enjoyable. I highly rate... More

So I read about this Gin bar and boutique distillery in some inflight magazine, and being a big fan of 'craft' gin, when we visited Durban I looked up Distillery 031. The venue is different, tucked between Umgeni road and the railway line in a old converted warehouse. From the outside it looks a bit dodge but soon we noticed... More

Best cocktails EVER. I tried the gin fizz (like a drinkable lemon meringue pie!) and the St. Clements - impossibly good. Amazing burgers and wings too, and the décor and vibe is just the cherry on top. Can't wait to go back!

Distillery 031 is Durban's first and only craft distillery. We do small batch, handcrafted spirits using locally sourced produce, showing off the best that KZN has to offer. Our restaurant serves up gourmet street food with a south african twist while our master mixologist's have create a range of unique cocktails to showcase our spirits. Tours and tastings of the distillery are available.
