What an absolutely wonderful venue! Welcomed by Titan ( a great Dane that walked with us from the parking lot to the door of the restaurant :) ), entered into a warm and welcoming venue. The service was excellent, the food..... out of this world!...Well done to the team!!! Highly recommended.More

We visited Fermier just after their reopening after the hard lockdown. We chose the wine pairing option. We appreciated the variety of wines selected. However, for R295 extra per person for the wine pairing, they could have been a little more generous with the pours....The food was good but a cheese course was not offered and that was a disappointment. Overall great ambiance, wine and the servers as well as the culinary staff are top notch.More

On arrival we were met and showed where to park and the entrance to the restaurant. On our chairs were sheepskin, which is a novelty. The wine pairing was excellent. The 9 course food was very good. The waiters treat you with respect and not...with the tipical Bloemfontein Wimpy attitude. Wine was explained in detail and odly all the wines had berry flavors in it to our amusement. Although the portions were small, we did get enough to not leave hungry. One dish that stood out was the oyster with a cured cucumber (or is it just a pickle?). When visiting this kind of restaurants, you cannot give a price on this once in a lifetime experience. So you do pay the bill knowing that the rest of the month will be 2 minute noodles every day. Finally, to make it an unforgettable night, it started to rain on the tin roof, which was magical. So we stayed for a night cap of whiskey and wine, and we left in an Uber.More

A very pleasant experience, with fine food, paired with an array of well selected wine (white and red). A 9-course dinner that lets one experience different tastes and flavors from a variety of dishes. A unique setting, resembling nature and simplicity.

This was our first visit to a true gem hidden on the side of Bromberg. Very rustic with a brilliant relaxing charm. The staff is unbelievable. Reminded me of a small restaurant somewhere in France, although we had more waiters than there. The 9 course...meal was fantastic. Every dish is special with a wide range of taste experiences. Great wine pairing or wine from the wine list which has some real good options. Well worth, and will definitely see us again.More

This rustic little place is wonderful! The service is excellent and the flavours are fantastic. We loved every course and didn't feel like we had to stop for take-out afterwards. Well done, guys! Awesome experience, thank you!

Fermier is a small restaurant, tucked away in Karoo Yard. The food is absolutely delicious with each course being presented beautifully and creatively. Portions are small but each morsel is truly delicious. By the end of the evening you are fully satisfied but not uncomfortably...full. Fermier never disappoints. As two of our party had food allergies, one seafood and the other nuts, they prepared different dishes for those with allergies.More

This restaurant prides themselves on using organic in season produce and they try to grow their vegetables themselves. This is as close to a farm and hoof-to-snout experience you will ever have. It is fine dining style in a rustic setting. Food is great and...well prepared. Worth the visit. The walk from the car to the restaurant is on gravel, so don't wear your most petite shoes.More
