Railway's Café is a hidden gem at the heart of Irene/Centurion. From the moment you step foot onto the property, your imagination cannot be contained as every nook and cranny captures your childlike wonder and allows you to escape into an asymmetrical wonderland. Friends and...I attended a Writer's Bloc International in partnership with Die Shosholoza Poetry in Motion open mic poetry night by the name 'Wordy Wednesday' and it was breath-taking from start to finish. The Railway's team as well as the event organising committee kept us well fed, watered and entertained until we walked out the doors a few hours later. Their new bar set up is a sight to see! They have a Vape shop up and running and the sound engineer on duty had a playlist that captured my SOUL. Thank you Railway's for always welcoming us HOME. ❤️More

We were part of a geoup of 50 guests this morning. Buffet breakfast was scehduled for 11:00. We only ate at 12:05. Muesli, yougurt and fresh fruit as promised nowhere to be seen. After my meal someone noticed that the butter had expired in 2016!!...There weren't enough clean knives and forks and many people had to sit and watch their food get cold while waiting for cutlery. Waiters and managers were very difficult to get a gold of. This place wont see me again!More

We visited Railways Cafe in Sept, celebrating the birthday of a relative. Had we not been invited, we would have missed an awesome experience. Go there. The place is stocked, stacked? with hundreds, yes, hundreds of pieces of memorabilia from the not so distant past....From fridges to bicycles to 1960’s car bodies, cooking utensils, toys, furniture etc... what an amazing find. Just walking around, taking it all in, would take at least half an hour. Combine this with the laid-back atmosphere, tasty food at affordable prices and friendly service and it all adds up to time and money well spent.More

Unique would be an understatement! We recently had our wedding here and so it will always be a really special place to us. TJ is a one of a kind host and there was nothing that was too much hassle for him. His team were...super friendly and when you have a venue like Railways you don't have a choice but to have an awesome party! The place is always evolving but manages to keep its original atmosphere and chaotic charm. Great place to go for a homemade pizza and a pintMore

Really enjoyed the live bands and great vibe within the chill area. We bought two large pizza's which was also really good! Cons: parking area quite dodgy, drinks and food quite expensive.

This venue is marvellous for supporting local live acts. The staff are friendly but I feel they could have an extra barperson and a few more wait staff, as the wait time for food is quite long. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. They are...cash-free which is reassuring, and they also have a few little shops where you can buy t-shirts and CDs of local bands, artwork etc.More

Railways Cafe is one of those places.. you don't know till you know. And when you know.. you can't get enough! It is quirky from the moment you step foot through the door. No two features are the same.. the art content is mind blowing....The type of talent showcased at this venue.. I'd say you cannot find anywhere else in Centurion. The venue is perfect for a drink with friends.. if you want an intimate and ambient setting for a date.. and if you want to use the space for business purposes, they have the equipment.. a large variety at the bar.. and pizza to die for! Every first Wednesday of the month, Railways Cafe welcomes Writer's Bloc International for a poetry evening called #WordyWednesday. It is such a treat to be surrounded by free spirits in this creative space where you can pretty much be whomever you choose to be. Check it out on either of their Facebook pages!More

Felt a bit like staying over at a backpackers without actually doing so. Decor and furniture is definitely unique and original. Food is good but basic. Waited a long time to have it served, could be because the place was very busy. A good place...to chill out, maybe not ideal for families with young children.More

Visited here on the 20th Mar with my husband and 3 other male friends. We have been here before and dragged our friends here to show them how amazing it is! The ambience, the originality and food were all top notch! We arrived in the...afternoon and left at 11pm! The manager told us at 7.30pm to move from the outside area to the inside room where the band would be playing, but he didn't tell us what time they would play so we kept checking our watch and hoping that would be playing at the next either half hour or hour - but no, at around 8.30pm the band told us they would be showing a music video documentary at 9pm, this only started at 9.15pm and I don't know the band so did not appreciate their documentary. They finally decided to start playing after 10pm and by that time I was exhausted and bored out of my head from waiting and waiting for this band. I cant remember their name, but they had a few groupies standing in front of the stage and headbanging - but for me, it was just noise and I couldn't wait to leave. But again, I did not know the band and this was all just my personal feelings. I will definitely be back - Il probably stay away from the band room - but the drinks and fun atmosphere are fantastic!!!!More
