If you’re in Pretoria you must eat here! My wife & I recently stayed in Pretoria for 4 nights and after having a ‘so, so’ meal at our hotel on the 1st evening we took the advice of our taxi driver and went to one of the Crawdaddys’ outlets - Brooklyn. From the moment we entered the 1st floor, open-sided restaurant, it was apparent, that the terrific vibe generated by the patrons was evident that the food and service was going to be exceptional. We were not disappointed. The staff (and Dave ‘the boss’) couldn’t have been more helpful in explaining the extensive menu choices (including the ‘daily specials’). Crawdaddys specialises in meat & fish (but also caters for vegetarians). After choosing starters of oysters we both had fish mains. The fish was cooked to perfection. We were also recommended a great local Chardonnay which really complemented the fish. We were so impressed with Crawdaddys that we booked again for both subsequent evenings. The prices are very competitive. Not to be missed if you’re visiting Pretoria.

I stopped supporting Crawdaddys a while ago as they went through a slump in quality of food and value. I am elated to report that they are back on my frequent list and often pop in for a seafood platter for one. It's really good paired with Leffe Blonde.

We haven't been to this Crawdaddy's for a while. We were a group of 10 people and our table was booked in advance. We were greated very friendly and seated inside. The decor is cosy and original. They are known for great fish and meat dishes. I had the Calamari and Chicken combo with Baked potato. The Calamari was soft and succulant and the Lemon and herb Chicken was well cooked and very juicy. The Black Rock Gourmet Burgers were very delicious. The prawns were very tasty and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous. Our waiter was well trained and made our experience memorable. Great for groups and we will definitely be back.

This used to be my favourite eatery. But in the last month I've been disappointed twice. Today we were a group of 4. One ordered a meal specifically for the sauerkraut. This never came with the rest of the meal. The reason we were told was the waiter only now found out they were out of stock. How come he was not told when the order was placed so my friend could order something else? We were told the manager would come to apologise. He never showed until we called for him. The irked customer at our table mentioned he wanted that meal for the sauerkraut and would've picked another dish had he known. He suggested at least a discount since the advertised and ordered dish could not be provided. The manager agreed. The bill for the 4 of us was over R800. The "discount" he got was R10.50! Shame on you Crawdaddy's: you were at fault and that's how you "fixed" it. I don't know if it's new owners or management, but 2 of my last 3 experiences there have been a thumbs down. Buyer beware.

Good Day
We as a management team do apologize for your experience with us and the lack of communication that day between us and our waiters. There’s no excuse for what happened. Also the discount given on your meal wasn’t acceptable in retrospect and therefore we should’ve made it more on the day.
We have set up new measures so that something like this does not happen again and it will be enforced asap. We also looking into how to better manage the stock control so that we have no more out of stocks or at least get everything in before a shift starts.
Once again we do apologize for our error and we do hope we see you all again soon for a better time.

I ordered descontructed steak and this is what I got, the lady at the door was not friendly at all, she put lemon and butter sauce in there for the steak instead of asking me which sauce I prefer. When the order came she didn’t put it in a bag while everyone else was getting a bag expecting me to carry the box and the sides like that. What a terrible service from Crawdaddys Menlyn.

This is a place that serves a variety of menus and has a conducive environment for adult night out. There is a kids' playing area but has limited kids' menus. It has an indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Friday and Saturday nights can be very busy

We visited the restaurant on the 2nd February 2020. We didn’t have reservations so we were taken to an inside seating with no menus. We waited for 5-8 minutes and during that period two waiters came in and the gentleman that gave us the seats. No one gave us a menu or checked to see if we wanted anything. Very poor service and attitude of the employees. Will not be visiting this establishment again. We went down to the Rocomamas and immediate we were given menus and helped. Maybe you need to send your staff below for some training in customer service.

I've been twice on business trips to Pretoria and although reluctant at first as I read it was a chain, this place is top drawer. Menu is substantial, but from everything I have ordered or tasted, they know what they're doing. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend

Wether you’re a local or a tourist Crawdaddys is an absolute must visit on your list. Growing up in Pretoria it’s always been a staple but now coming home as a tourist I couldn’t get enough of it and visited over 3 times.
The quality of the meat and fish is second to none and then the flavours and taste of pretty much everything on the menu from bruschetta to seafood curries is mind blowing. Huge menu, huge portions and never disappointed!

Crawdaddys in Centurion is always consistent with excellent quality and attentive service.
One of our favourite spots for a good steak, cooled to perfection and excellent seafood. Particularly enjoy their prawns and whole king klip.
Their ice cream with chocolate sauce and creme brûlée is magnificent.
Definitely the place to go for good food and service.

Place was a bit too full to have something to eat as the waiters were so busy they couldn't get to all of the tables. The drinks were really great and the overall vibe of the place is really nice. Can't wait to go back and try the food next time.

It goes without saying that establishments with good food, nice atmosphere and attentive service will always be popular. Add to that good value for money and you have this Crawdaddy's Restaurant.
Both meat and seafood dishes are superb with a wide variety of scrumptious starters.
Friendly staff are always willing to assist to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Tasty food with good sized portions. Starters with mains and desert, may just be too much!. Friendly servers. Average priced compared to similar restaurants. Nothing is cheap anymore, but it is worth every cent. We've had many family celebrations and dinners with friends here and never have complaints afterwards.

Was feeling like some seafood and came to Crawfaddy’s for lunch! Wow! The service was good and then the food was excellent. From the prawn rissoles, mussel pot and prawns were all exceptional. Even the feta and Lemon butter chicken wings was delish!
You guys will see us again and well done.

The staff was friendly including the manager. They make you feel at home and value for money. They made me enjoy my stay at Tzaneen. Myself and my wife had a very nice chilling at crawdaddy and we felt like could have noticed the place earlier.
