This is a hidden gem to anyone that has a bone of style and culture in them. The food is great, the drinks too. Staff is friendly and the place is neat and tidy. I wish Pretoria had more venues like this. Keep up the good work guys!

Most of us go to Luckys for a good beer.... But you have to try their burgers! Very good and excellent value for money!

Young and vibey, good place for a quick glass of wine or beer when waiting for someone in the area, especially if you don't feel like sitting with the 'tannies' in a coffee shop.

Food and atmosphere is great. I had the Lucky Snitchel and it was excellent value for money! Great retro vibes makes this a place not to miss!

Lucky's is a great place for after-work drinks or a casual lunch. You always run into someone you know! Their fried chicken burger is my personal favourite.

I just noticed how the owners placed an order 30 minutes after we did and they got served in 5 minutes time. So all the paying customers' orders were placed on hold to assist the owners. This is extremely unprofessional. The lady also almost walked me over. Very rude and snobbish. I will never go back

Great European style (street) concept, this restaurant is very intimate and cosy. The decor is well thought out and the historic benches and stools give it quite a flair. I regularly visit them to have the cheese and jalapeño spring roll with hand cut chips and sweet and sour dip. I once brought under management attention that the chips were under cooked and ever since it has been perfect. The service is good and the staff friendly and efficient. A great place for a quick beer or lunch.

I have been to this establishment on two or three occasions with friends who seem to like this joint. It is usually packed - especially on a Friday afternoon - and it seems to be a popular student hang-out. The meals are very average and the service is more or less non-existent. My most recent visit was on a Saturday afternoon around lunchtime. There were very few patrons and it was rather pleasant to sit on the veranda to enjoy a glass of wine - I avoided the food and the service was as bad as I had experienced before.

We went to Lucky Rodrigo specifically for it's Churros, which I understood was the best in town. But to my disappointment, it wasn't. It didn't have the right shape of a churro and it was way to oily. Caramel sauce was ok, but tasted very buttery.
This was not a good option.
Although we waited very long for our churros, the service was not bad.

This is a place with a happy vibe. But perhaps more for young people. I suspect one would go there more for a chat and a drink. The food was mediocre.
We were a group of older friends who wanted to try it out.
The food my friends had seemed to be ok but nobody seemed over excited. It seems that the hamburger got the most points.
I ordered the vegetarian quesadillas. What a lousy dish! The wraps were as tough as cardboard! I don't know why they think anyone would like to pay for something so disgusting. Why call it quesadillas? The bits of vegetables in there were not worthy of any vegetarian dish.
Our waiter was friendly and the service was not bad.

Lucky's make their own beef burger patties.The burgers is tasty with plenty of flavor.Good place to go for a beer and burger.Lucky's is a bar so don't expect fine dining.

Nice place to meet young yuppie students, profs and gay gents. Pricey but vibe is awesome. 20 somethings mostly! Lets say cosy too

This place is one of my favorites, as it has a lovely atmosphere and vibe that goes with it. Very affordable drinks and food, and a variety selection of craft beers. Our waiter also was on top of his game and we got our drinks almost immediately after we ordered.
