Restaurant was very empty (I understand why now). Food was ok, not great compared to other similar restaurant but very expensive. Our bottle of red wine was not room temperature, but extremely warm and we had to ask for some ice blocks to bring down...the temperature a bit. At about 21h30 our waiter said he wants to leave so can he prep our bill which we said was fine, but started feeling a bit rushed. Then shortly afterwards the manager/owner also asked us if we can please leave as they also want to go home !!!!! My friend and I were looking forward to a nice Friday night out catching up but felt very unwanted ....upon leaving the restaurant we saw that the rest of the centre was still busy with patrons enjoying coffees and drinks at the other restaurants. Guess in future that's where we will spending our cash at.More
We had dinner at this particular Raj last night and noted that there were only 3 tables occupied. I ordered a medium chicken curry dish that arrived inedibally hot. Rice was tasteless and certainly not fresh... Garlic naan was probably the worst I've eaten -...dry and I do believe, rather stale. Samble salad was merely chopped up onion, tomato and cucumber with no seasoning or coriander. Open seats reflect that customers are frequenting better establishments that care what they cook.... Give this restaurant a firm miss...they need to care more!!!More
Visited the restaurant on The 3rd st 2010 Only to be told they are only doing take aways and not service Yet the restaurant was open Absolutely pathetic As a regular diner and take away orderer I will not be going back to this restaurant...There wAs no reason except I think the staff wanted to go home earlyMore
Great food and table settings, often ruined by the many unruly children and parents who seem to think that fine dining is good in a kiddies playground. It doesn't seem to help going late in the evening either, the kids don't seem to sleep. what...a shame this could be such a great place to do some fine dining.More
Stayed at a hotel that did not serve dinner but could order from restaurants that deliver. Ordered food from the Raj and was very satisfied with the quality, taste and flavour
Let's start with the food, which is horrible no flavour. This is an Indian food restaurant and really no flavour?, where are the rich spices and chili, the beautiful strong aroma? I'll tell you, no where. It is bland, boring food. And a hair in...our food. The service is shocking, really bad. We were not brought an ice bucket. Not told rice does not come with the food. A knife dropped in to my daughter drink. The waiter was just so uninformed it was a joke. I have nothing good to say about this place.More
Very authentic and good Indian food. We had a quick, but good, meal here. The Vindaloo was as hot as it should and the service here was also very good. Not too many in the restaurant (surprising) but it seemed like a lot of take-ways....Would recommend this for anybody that likes Indian or Thai food.More

Went to The Raj, Waterfall Corner, after many months. I was aghast at the prices and bill whilst paying. Cant take anything away from the decor, look and feel etc. However with that pricing (R188, 00) for a starter of 6 or 7 prawns is...utter madness (given that the price was also not listed). It seema that the number of patrons are an indicator of the nonsense with the pricing. Would i recommend the place: No Would i visit again: NoMore
