Disgusting food, the owner told me they do not keep up with latest trends in food and I can tell, old fashioned stodgy food, for old fashioned stodgy people.More

At Lucios, we continuously work to create good experiences for our customers. Since 1987 (which is 36 years now) our pizza sizes and base have never changed from our old fashioned deep pan pizza which is a thicker pizza base, enjoyed by all. As stated...More

Had dinner with a work colleague last night and I have to say, Lucio's has not lost its charm and passion. Its warm welcoming familial ambiance and sumptuous delightful meals are its best features. Staff are attentive and efficient, the restaurant itself is so well...kept and extremely tidy and organized. And most of all the meals are virtual manna from heaven...the only regrets I have is not coming here more often.More

Great ambience. Cozy, warm, and hospiable. The food is fantastic. The Antipasti platter calked Misto Platter is absolutely tastebutt blowing. We were four who shared. It is a great starter and typically Italian. Mouthwatering morsels of typical Italian classics. Bellisimo. The pizza we had was...the Carne. Smokey and delicious pork. I will be back. I loved it that the music was really in the background and one could have proper conversations without strain or trying having to shout to make yourself heard. Keep it up and you will fill up the place every night. Good value for money too. You won't break the bank fir descent fare. But that antipasti..... I loved it.More

Lucio's is a well known family run restaurant in Johannesburg. The food is good and the prices are competitive. My concern is that in the space of two hours, our table had three different wait staff at the table who took orders but clearly did...not communicate with each other. More than once, a waiter would approach with an item we had already received from another waiter. The food was also delayed and I am guessing here but probably due to lack of communication. There is a reason that restaurants have zones and specific table allocations for their wait staff. Overall, it is still a restaurant I would recommend but does need to make a few improvements.More

Located in the heart of Northcliff, has been serving godly morsels for more than 3 decades churning out sumptuous dishes for the entire community. From the outside, it may look like a quaint little restaurant but upon entering you are instantly teleported to the Mediterranean...coast! The art deco is fantastic – making the ambiance one of a kind. This coupled by the warm, welcoming and professional staff make this place highly unique. You get the vibe of a real family owned and operated Italian Restaurant! Ideal for just about everyone craving true Italian cuisine, this place is cozy enough with adequate room for the solo traveler, couples, families, and friends. There is also an enticing bar open to all who need to unwind and relax. The food here is art in itself that is wonderfully made with much attention and care. There is enough in the menu to satisfy just about anyone – vegetarians, meat lovers, seafood fanatics, and coffeeholics. There is also enough here to satisfy that sweet tooth! Pizzas are crisp, pastas savory, meats and seafood are well done and the salads are crisp and fresh. All in all, this spectacular restaurant is little Italy personified. Come visit and you will never be disappointed.More

Lucios saved the day for us when we had to accommodate my husband's 90 year old granny on the same outing as our 15 month old. Boiling hot and granny can't walk very far or sit outside. Sat on the stoep at the fountain, not...too many people around us and space for the little one to roam. Our daughter kept pointing at the paintings, mosaics and bright table cloths: "Daar-daar-daar!" The food was delicious. Foccacia with baked feta and rosemary. Hmmm. Then pastas and fish. Just absolutely lovely. Thanks lucio's for putting up with us and our daughter!More
