Customers are spoilt for choice for halaal spicy food. This restaurant is still good but needs serious TLC on appearance, crisper service and a refresh of the menu to stay relevant in a competitive market.
Ghazal food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is cozy while the service is 5star. Always a good place to go for great food at good value.
Always consistently delicious. The Lamb Korma and the Butter Chicken are great sharing meals. We will be back again and again
Had an incredible night celebrating my birthday. Everything was exceptional! My mom and I had the Prawn Masala which was the best curry we've had in a while, and exactly what I wanted for my birthday and my partner and sister, who aren't big curry...fans had the Chicken Korma and the Lamb Kadai. The lamb was cooked to perfections and was soo taste and made the experience very memorable for them as well. Would highly recommend 👌 👍 👏 great service and wine to top off the evening. Thank you.More
Short visit to Joburg to visit family en route to Cape Town who took me here and what a delight. Everything about this place was a delight. Food, sevice, ambience and of course being from the UK the price (exchange makes everything in SA very...cheap currently). Delicious food and adored the different breads we had especially. Highly recommendMore
The best Indian cuisine in South Africa I have ever eaten. My absolute favorite meal is the Lamb Korma, the Lamb is cooked to perfection, the sause touched every single taste bud, and the Butter Naan is so fresh and soft. The staff is friendly...and goes out of their way to assist. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience 🫶More
Lunch at the Melrose Arch branch. Excellent veg options. Large portions, well prepared. Staff were good too. A large restaurant but best to book ahead for weekend meals. It was a cold day and the fire was going too; nice and warm.
I love the ghazal. The food is great I didn’t end up eating dinner because I was so full please be careful when eating because Ghazal can feed you up😂. Best Indian Restaurant! My kids even want to come back for more delicious food. Staffs are very helpful and kind
We ate such delicious lunch with my family. Thei Tikka Chicken and butter chicken is the best in Johannesburg.and this is my 3rd time at the place
Best curry I have ever had, amazing flavors and good service. Worth the price and the wait. The food is made from scratch using the finest curry powders.
My mom and I came for a dinner and it was absolutely fabulous! The food and the service was great. Thank you
Another take away to delight. Butter chicken with a garlic naan. Consistently good North Indian curry, tasty, tender chicken and a perfectly made naan.
We have been eating at Ghazal for many years. It's been our favourite Indian restaurant in Jozi for over 13 years As Pescetarians we have tried all the Indian restaurants in Johannesburg. Ghazal is consistently the best. Their vegetarian menu is great and there's always...lots to choose from. We always eat the Palak Paneer, Fish curry and Karhai Dhal with 3 Laccha Parathas. Today the food was exceptionally good. The rice was even super fresh. The Laccha Parathas are usually buttery and crispy. Just need to serve seperately to prevent steam from making them soggy when stacked on top of each other. The are pet friendly too. So we always bring our puppy Charlie. And sit at an outside table. The service is usually very good. Loadshedding kicked in and they forgot us outside, while we ate our meal in the dark. And they also forgot about our table, so when we were done eating in the dark, I had to go ask for the bill and pay myself.More
