We hosted a friends' lunch at Bikaner and the food was really tasty.A diverse group of us all enjoyed our meals. The restaurant was quiet, quaint and a very relaxed atmosphere. The breyani's were super tasty and gravies from all the curries our group order were...flavourful. The service could be spiced up a bit though. The waiters were kind of shy when we asked questions. This restaurant needs a bit of atmosphere. However the food certainly delivered in taste.More

The food and service was great! There has been a definite improvement in service in the last few months. Food was delicious as always. We had a variety of dishes and they were all great. Definitely left fatter than what I was when I went...in.More

Lovely food, really tasty. Nice atmosphere, with very informal setting. If you like indian food this is the place to go!

What's the point of asking customers if they want their curries mild, medium or hot if you're going to ignore their election when you prepare their food? We had exactly that experience yesterday, a quiet Sunday night. Excellent service from Christopher couldn't unfortunately remedy the...ruined meal which, despite being ordered VERY MILD was, in the case of the lamb, hot and of the chicken tilka medium. We have frequented this restaurant in the past precisely because it always took these choices seriously. No more. Chefs in indian restaurants in general cannot seem to go easy on the chilli and the restaurant then pays the price for having disappointed and disgruntled patrons who do not return.More

Shocking experience - really uncooperative attitude and didn't give a hoot. So we walked out never to return.

Very tasty Indian curries! Average decor and service but we will go back for the food. Standouts from our recent visit included the fragrant korma and chicken jalfrezi, and the naan!

We have visited Bikaner a couple of times over the years and their food is always delicious and quite reasonably priced. This time we were a table of 8 for Sunday lunch and again the food did not disappoint. What was however quite disappointing was...the laughably bad service. Not sure if they recently employed some VERY inexperienced waiters and they just haven't been trained properly?? Would probably just opt for take-aways next time...More

It was our first visit. It was ok, nothing special. The service was fine, but we had to wait a while for the food and the restaurant was empty. The fish curry was average and I felt like it wasn't cooked properly. I eat fish...curry regularly, so I know what to expect. I ate with my hands, which is normal in an Indian restaurant, but they didn't even have wet wipes when I asked for them. I won't be back anytime soon.More

After our GnT stint at Tonic, we wandered over to Bikaner for a curry. It was the first time we had been there & we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was divine. The prices were not bad at all considering the...generous portions we had. We sat outside which was really nice considering that it was a rather hot evening. It was very peaceful & lovely.More

It's an okay indian place , nothing really special but not bad either. Like a Turkish decor full of colors and some Indian paintings. Not bad ! The chicken soup wasn't bad and the onion badgies a lot of them , prawn masala was average...to good cause the prawns where a bit mushy . We have been to better restaurants but glad we came !More
